Did you all write a Why NU? Wondering if it would be helpful to submit one now that I'm in the RD pool.

I didn't because I (hope I) was able to convey that in my interview. The hold letter said we could submit a LOCI, but I am not sure if that is necessary. Hoping to get some feedback -- ED holds: are you submitting a LOCI or Why prior to a real decision?

I got promoted at work during the wait, so I'll update them on that. I may also have my former boss, now colleague, send in a letter.

I did, and then touched on it during my interview. Couldn't hurt, as long as you're bringing solid reasons to the table.

Don't forget to fill out the form that you still want to be considered for RD. Also, it's cool to know that we'll definitely find out before february.

I didn't either because I thought ED plus going to Chicago to do the on campus interview (and saying why in it) would be enough. I think since it did mention a LOCI in the letter, you could submit one. I think I might, it can't hurt.

That seems like a form that would be incredibly easy to miss if you are let down from the letter and upset. I would hope that they send a reminder to people that didn't have the heart to read all the way down the hold letter.

If you're ED and got held, just withdraw your app, and move on.
