Disappointed in the fact that my merit based award didn't go up at all despite an increase in LSAT. And a marginal increase from need-based. I really wanted to go to BU but there's a pretty good chance I go elsewhere now. Their offer is at best equal to that of every other school that has given me an offer and BU has the lower end of employment scores. I just can't afford to live in Boston and forego the salary I already make if my offer isn't increased.

Man, I really just want in off the WL. Sent an updated resume last week with a new job, waiting ro send an LOCI until closer to deposits. Visited the day before BC's ASD and really loved the facilities and location. Wish I'd spoken with an admissions officer rather than just taking the self-guided tour...

Got the waitlist e-mail today, went complete 1/20.
Not too disappointed since I'm in at BC and I prefer them over BU but I was hoping BU would accept me with some $ so I could use that to try to negotiate with BC. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I posted this in the c/o 2019 thread, but it doesn't seem to be getting much attention, so I wanted to ask you all...

Does anyone know what BUs OCI success rate was last cycle? I'm deciding between BU and a couple t10s, and although I would love to stay in boston, I'm worried about the employment options. I know some t10s have like 80% OCI success rates (significantly higher than their basic biglaw+fed clerk #s, and I wondered if Bu also had a significantly higher OCI success rate than their biglaw+fed clerk #s may indicate.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

OK, if I haven't heard anything AT ALL since 11/15 should I reach out to admissions? Has anyone else been waiting this long and tried to get in contact?

I'm in the same boat. I think your employment opportunities are going to be decided more on merit than networking. Obviously it doesn't hurt to have a strong base in the area, but I think you'll be fine as long as you do well in school.

When did you get your acceptance? and did you call? I had to call to find out they didnt give me any merit aid which was lame but I guess theres no good way to include in your acceptance that they're not giving you $ lol

Yeah they probably gave you a generic answer (unless they looked it up) but I was admitted around Feb 23rd and called a week later when I was told I got nothing
