I never received an acceptance email either or any link to a status checker

EDIT: My understanding is that YLS does not utilize a status checker. You get an email when your application is considered complete and that's it.
Got it. I submitted about 10 days ago...and just found the acceptance email in spam, my bad!

No worries -- I'm typing mid-meeting so am not being clear! This is the only email I've gotten (from 1/16):phoenixstrike wrote: Sorry - clarification question. Do you mean the email that says "We have received notification from LSAC that you have submitted an application to Yale Law School," or the email that says your application is complete?
Yale email wrote:We have received notification from LSAC that you have submitted an application to Yale Law School. We should receive your application from LSAC within one week and we will begin processing it at that time.

If it's any help, mine took 9 days. Sent 1/13, got the "LSAC told us you've applied" email that day, then got an "application complete" email on 1/22. No status checker. Yale leaves us in the dark, I guess.phoenixstrike wrote:Ah, thanks. Sounds like we're in the same boat then. I'll post here when I get the "application complete" email. I submitted on the 16th and got the application complete email around 4am last night.phoenixstrike wrote:Has anyone submitted their application in the past 10 days and received an "application complete" email? It's been over 10 days since I submitted and I haven't received anything other than the initial "we have received notification from LSAC that you submitted an application to YLS" email. Wondering if this is a normal amount of time or not. The other schools I applied to notified me of completion within 5 days.

Re: Yale c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Hey all,
I mailed in my fee waiver about a month or two ago and haven't heard anything back; my LSAC application still indicates that the fee hasn't been waived. Does anyone know what the turnaround time for fee waiver responses is? I know the office doesn't like getting unnecessary emails/phone calls so I'd thought I'd check in first here.
Good luck to everyone!

I was told that if you submit a need-based fee waiver, then all you do is select the "mail app fee direct to Yale" option. I was told they would only contact me regarding the waiver if the request is not approved or if any additional info is needed.Interficio wrote:Hey all,

If you have mailed the fee waiver and heard nothing, then go ahead submit with the "mail app fee" option.

"The fee waiver process is independent of the application process. Please know that there is no need to get back in touch with us regarding whether it has been approved -- we will be in touch with you via e-mail if we have any questions. Please assume that the need-based application fee waiver will be approved. The review of your application will not be delayed while the waiver is pending. You will be notified by e-mail if your request for an application fee waiver is denied."robertwabisabi wrote:I was told that if you submit a need-based fee waiver, then all you do is select the "mail app fee direct to Yale" option. Ok guys, back with more random theorizing about this cycle...
Based on the graph of the last couple of admissions years, there have been (reported) about the same number of admits in December as in January. Because (and we have all agreed to this) we have not missed a wave since the last one in December, there should be a pretty big wave before the end of the week if past trends hold

As far as I know, I don't think the snow was as serious in New Haven as it was elsewhere on the east coast.lunixer wrote:
Did #snowmageddon2016 reach all the way to Connecticut? Because if so I think past trends may not hold. All of the east coast where I live was shut down for like 5 days Friday-today.

Thanks, guys! I had seen that statement somewhere before but couldn't find it this time around.strawberrieee wrote:"The fee waiver process is independent of the application process. Applied!
They probably will look at my application and think about how it's people like me who keep their admit rates low.
Oh well

But this probably means we aren't in the auto-reject pile yet, right?

I think you're right - maybe on Saturday? A couple of the December waves were on Saturday and there was a wave of calls on the last Saturday in January last year.jetsfan1 wrote:Ok guys, back with more random theorizing about this cycle...
