Don't say you forgot to attach it, you'll come across as forgetful, flippant, or something else. If you are going to send it in before getting a decision, I'd wait at least a few weeks (of course, you don't know when they'll make their decision). Personally, I'd see how everything unfolds and send it in the event you're waitlisted.Scalvert wrote:So would it be worse to not submit one at all, or to send it separately and just say I forgot to attach it (which seems like another bad option).

Does UVA's "review pending" mean the same thing as Duke's "ready for review?"
"Review pending" just sounds like it has more urgency to it. I'm grasping at straws, aren't I?

I figured.
Pending sounds like OMG! YOU'RE NEXT!!!
"Ready for review" sounds like it's lying in pile somewhere.

Where are you looking, just out of curiosity?benwyatt wrote:At some of the apartment complexes I looked at, my rent with a roommate would be more than cut in half and all the utilities are included which cuts it down even more.slippin_jimmy wrote:+18490184903benwyatt wrote:Looking at rent in Charlottesville is making UVA look more attractive by the minute...
Edit: You don't want to live at Eagle's Landing if that's what you're looking at.

Ivy is so cheap and so close to the law school grounds...plus that will probably be the pre-game/post-game spot for 1L anyways.doublehoohopeful wrote:Where are you looking, just out of curiosity?benwyatt wrote:At some of the apartment complexes I looked at, my rent with a roommate would be more than cut in half and all the utilities are included which cuts it down even more.slippin_jimmy wrote:+18490184903benwyatt wrote:Looking at rent in Charlottesville is making UVA look more attractive by the minute...

Yep. I've heard Ivy is the social place to be (which I'm about). After commuting 2+ hours daily for the past couple years, I'm excited to be a 5 minute walk from school.fips tedora wrote:Ivy is so cheap and so close to the law school grounds...plus that will probably be the pre-game/post-game spot for 1L anyways.

I'll probably scoop a 2brdm with patio, den, and fireplace (east) if I end up there. I have no qualms about being the go-to pre-game/post-game spot.doublehoohopeful wrote:Yep. Yeah, I'd stick with stuff around North Grounds/Arlington as it will be the most convenientbenwyatt wrote: I don't remember where I was looking because I was just sort of absentmindedly browsing.
Eagle's Landing doesn't ring a bell though.
Took a look at Ivy after seeing the other posts and the fact that you can get a two bedroom apartment with a patio and fireplace for ~$1100 is insane to me.
NYC COL has broken me.

I get teary-eyed when I think of what my Aunt and Uncle have to pay in property taxes for their place in the UES.benwyatt wrote:NYC COL has broken me.

I'm actually glad it works out this way. We have great options in our back pocket and we have something to look forward to over the next few months.benwyatt wrote:When I tell people I'm in at UVA and Duke they always ask me when I have to make a decision and when I'll know about the rest of my schools, so that helps me keep it in perspective
