I'm as debt-averse as the next guy, but it seems to me that if you're going to pay sticker someplace, NYU
can make sense. They're particularly well known for placing people in PI jobs, they have a very high employment percentage, and they have a fantastic LRAP. If you were PI dedicated, you had a pretty specific idea of an attainable, and satisfactory, quality of life in the PI field after graduation, and you didn't expect better offers, I could see paying for NYU at sticker. That's a wager with relatively good odds, though it has a severe downside if the bet doesn't pan out.
Or am I wrong?
