No clear rhyme or reason I've seen. My LOR writers received emails on about 10/6. I applied 9/15, went complete a few days after. I have yet to receive anything regarding admission. I did contact the office a week ago about something unrelated to the actual application and they advised me that no decision had been made yet.
Disclaimer: I do not suggest anyone call just to call. I called because my mailbox was rekeyed and all of my mail apparently went into a black hole. I think most schools discourage calling just for status. I don't want anyone to get dinged because they annoyed the wrong person.

It's very possible the email could be a sign of rejection or wait list. GTown is a stretch for me, so it wouldn't be a shock at all if that were the case. Like everyone else I have no clue if my application has even been reviewed, but at least I now have a confirmation that no decision has been made. The committee may have seen enough to say "NOOOOOPE, SEND THE LOR EMAIL! This one isn't getting in!" *insert release the Kracken tone*xylocarp wrote:my letter writers were never emailed. admitted 10/14

My LOR writers were contacted and I was admitted. Not sure if it is any kind of indication -- seems to be mixed results so far in that regard.LawGirlAtx wrote:It's very possible the email could be a sign of rejection or wait list. I got an email last week asking if I wanted to interview with an alumni. I responded back saying I would like to but haven't gotten a response yet. Should I just assume they are in the process of matching me with someone? For others who have done this, how long did it take for them to match you and set up the interview?

Congrats! Do you mind if I ask when you applied, if you're ED, and which state your letter was sent to? I may need to resume stalking the mailman.jimmymac wrote:Accepted today via letter in the mail! Nice personal note on the letter as well. Best of luck to everyone else!

Anyone who did an interview want to post some of the questions they were asked?

Yes you can submit, but they won't begin to review until they have received all the required documents. I actually did this by accident. I submitted my application but forgot to assign the LOR. They sent me an email stating that they were missing, so I logged into LSAC and assigned them.smccgrey wrote:OMG YOU GUYS. I CAN'T WAIT TO APPLY. Freaking out a bit because my LOR writer/boss is super busy and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to submit this weekend as previously planned.
Or can I submit and ask for a hold until they receive his letter? Is that a thing?

at the info session i went to there a while back the dean said there was no point to do this because they wont review an app til its complete. but i totally get why you would do it for peace of mindsmccgrey wrote:OMG YOU GUYS. If your LOR writer isn't able to write you a letter in a more expedient fashion, is there anyone else that can? One of my LOR writers flaked on me completely (wasn't wholly shocking, he's a flake in general) so I had to scramble to find another former prof to write me one. If I had waited on my original prof, he would've gotten around to it sometime around when applications close. Or is there a chance that you can write it for the LOR writer? I know that's not ideal, but if they're not able to find time, it may be the best option.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
