+180, I think we're on all the same waitlists because you keep following me around from thread to thread.
Our numbers are pretty similar. I have a higher GPA (not by much) but a 1 point lower LSAT.

Which means we probably have the exact same numbers. Where are you currently deposited?

NDLS. I've sent in a first deposit and already have my housing taken care of (I have a termination clause). After seeing this letter, I'm just about to fully commit and buy a ND hoodie.

Summer WL. That's 7 WLs in the T14. Did I just set a record?

Nice. I'm deposited at GULC and most likely going to take the money and run. Best of luck to all!

I am still held, and have not had a status change today. Looks like I may be the only one though. Glitch/oversight?

At least they were fun to do. I got so sick of Why X essays, especially knowing that $$$ was way more important to me than "fit."

True.

I especially feel bad for people who spent lots of $$ to go to NU to interview, when in reality #s are all that really mattered.

Maybe I've counted wrong...but 3 people got accepted since Friday (two of which have explicitly said they don't intend to go to NU)?

...Is this normal?

I guess going to Chicago was okay for me. My friend was on Spring break (he's a teacher), and he tagged along. We got to split the hotel fees. Also, I won $300 at a Casino during that trip so it's all good. I feel bad for the people who went just for the interview. The roundtrip flight's not that cheap.

But seriously, I feel like none of these other things mattered. Dr. Dre (the TLS poster) was right. Numbers are all that matter. Just have to give them what they want.

Yeah, but makes you wonder why people get held/WL'd in the first place. Unless it's just a way to attract borderline apps for the application fee (but even that doesn't make sense b/c that's chump change for them).

I was one of those that flew from across the country to interview so I can only pray my spot on the WL is slowly moving towards an acceptance.

This is what throws me off. Why have the "hold" status, ask for essays, videos, locis, and have ppl spend hundreds of dollars to fly in for interviews simply to admit a couple people?

Like, it could have just as easily been done if NU had WL'd ppl from the get go and not asked for all these extra steps. I mean most t14s have admitted WL'd ppl before today, so it's not like ppl held at NU got some expedited response. Idk, maybe they just DGAF but the entire "hold" thing at NU seems superfluous.

I think deep, deep down NU only wants people who will jump through their hoops to get in. And that's just one way of doing it. But I really don't care. I will jump through all the hoops and will ride this bull until orientation if I have to.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
