I think they admitted those they really wanted, rejected those who did not fit their criteria and are really reviewing the rest with the best intention of admitting after careful review. I just got admitted elsewhere today. I did not give up hope and am waiting for other responses. Believe.

As far as I can tell, few or no applicants with the "held for review" status have had decisions. Add to that (I'm Sherlock, now) that the "held for further review" status appeared in a separate line from the original "under review" status. I think a "new" status would get its own line. Admissions told me the first time I called, months ago, that they update applicants whenever they have new relevant info, so I think this is just everyone who had that status getting an update. I bet you final decisions have a new status line.

My checker says the same thing. Not to be overly practical, but I imagine we'll receive a combination of admits, WLs, and dings.

But I will say this, that jump in the rankings didn't help us, that's for sure.
Good luck everyone.

Nope, if anyone doesnt hear anything by Wed, I am assuming Friday is going to be a great landslide of rejections.

Or theyll send out mass emails Sunday night filled with rejections. I can see them waiting until the very last day they specified.

Not sure if it helps any of y'all. I applied back on 11/30. Status checker never changed to hold, but I was told my decision was pending my Fall grades. Submitted them mid January, had a decision about 2 weeks ago.

I've had a prompt response every time I've had to contact admissions - I think the woman who replies to emails/application updates is named Helen something, and she's very nice. If you send a LOCI and you don't get a response I would suggest calling to be sure they received it - I'm sure many admissions offices are annoyed by calls, but W&M does not seem to fall into that group (though, of course, this is probably the busiest week they'll have all year). I have had a friendly, genuinely enthusiastic conversation with someone each time I called (maybe 3 times since November?). On two of those occasions they volunteered very helpful information I would not have presumed to ask for. I wish every admissions office would learn how it's done from W&M's, they're incredibly welcoming.

It seems a good many TLS applicants have this on their status check, myself included. No one really knows whether it is a ding or not yet...

Term: Fall
Year: 2014
Program Time: Full Time
Degree: JD
Current Status: File is Complete and in Review Process
Current Status Date: 3/8/2014
Decision Status: Decision Forthcoming by March 30
Decision Status Date: 3/18/2014
Mine is essentially the same, but I have a different date for status and decision. If that's accurate, it could mean they've already made a decision in my case. I think that's actually worse. Thinking that they actually know and aren't telling me... AGHH

I hadn't looked, but mine has my status date of 12/13. It doesn't necessarily mean anything, has anyone been admitted from "held" since the status description changed? We'll probably all get date changes as our decisions are made, and then they'll be released all at once. I really think everyone might be overthinking this whole thing. There's gotta be a relatively small group left. So they sort us into accept/wl/reject, entering the "forthcoming" decision into their end of the system as they go, and then bam, release them all at once. It's efficient, which seems to be their thing.

I've given up. I think it's super weird but my date hasn't changed since they initially put me on "hold."

I really don't think any of it is decipherable on our end. The wait will be over very soon, just have to get through a few more days. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine! There must be plenty of spots left, there haven't been many big waves of acceptances, just one or two.

Just a reminder guys, as someone not put on hold I was only accepted about 2 weeks ago. If you really care about attending, wait it out a little bit.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
