People have already applied to Yale?

Someday, I will write a passable 250 and will apply. Someday...
I submitted in late November - I figured Yale would be a Hail Mary for me any way I cut it, so I might as well end the pain early. I was lucky to have just written a short essay for a friend's newspaper about life in my city that I could edit down to 250 words. If not going over the word limit is the primary indicator of quality, I killed it and will be your next Supreme Court justice. If, for some reason, the content of the essay matters too... I even didn't like Connecticut anyway.

Not a lot, and that's probably why this thread is so quiet.

They might like it, you never know.

BTW i think the one who wrote about his large head didn't get in.

Ah well, difference of opinion, which is always good. And I know he got rejected, but I still thought it was great!

I didn't like the Korea 250 nearly as much as the drag queen crossing guard 250. I think Asha's pretty clear that there's a huge variety of approaches you can take, and more casual subject matter is definitely ok.
eta: Yale also includes a 250 about Cubs sports fans in the urm packet it sends out.

Mine was really light-hearted and I strongly disliked all the examples they sent out.

I know I'm late to the party, but I was once told that a college graduate should only have a 1-2 page CV. Nothing you do in undergrad would warrant more than that. The longer CV's are for people with 5-10 years of work experience, several degrees, and/or lots of publications.

Lol none of those things. But around median for gpa, below 25 for lsat (urm). PM for details.
The Yale admissions tweet was real. I was called earlier. I'm still shocked.

when asha talks about her former career, does it make any of you think she can just phone up her husband and ask him to a run a name? or is it mostly to keep applicants in line?

I didn't lie on my app about CF or LSAT prep or anything.
