All I could see were the 2 days it was possible for me to sign up. Every other date was blacked out, and I can't get any information from those daysgottago wrote:people who've been invited to JS1: can you see which weeks in nov/dec are allotted to interviews? or is it just your own weeks?

When I looked at the dates the first time, I saw that there were slots from today through the end of next week for JS1. 2 hours later, there were only dates on the 24th and the 29th of October.

Checking in. lsat/gpa above 50%, submitted 10/4, completed 10/11, JS1 invite 10/19.
When I logged on to schedule the interview, only the 31st and 1st were available (and that's still the case now). Only a few slots have been taken so far.
I'll be interested to hear how folk's interviews go. I'm just thinking about the standard questions and doing a few practice runs on Skype to get ready. Hopefully that will be enough to smooth out the wrinkles.

For those who care about such things: remember that posting too many details about your JS1 (i.e. what time it's scheduled for) could potentially out you to admissions officers.

How are the first wave of interviews spread out? Are they assigned by the date in which you submitted the application? I assume they are onto the October applicants since they have finished selecting which September applicants they want to interview?

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
From reading last year's thread, the first "wave" of JS1s (October 31 and November 2) were from the first round of applicants to go complete (October 10) but also one who went complete on October 25.megaragirl wrote:How are the first wave of interviews spread out? There was a second wave the following week (November 8 and 9) with applicants who went complete in October. These first two waves were the only ones to hear back before Thanksgiving. There was another wave on November 28/29 with some applicants who went complete 10/10 and others who went complete up until the week before. There were two other waves in December with varying complete dates.
This year, I think we are seeing more of a trickle of JS1 invites, and the adcomm has built in two extra weeks before Thanksgiving. I'd guess more waves are coming soon, but we'll have to wait and see! I don't think there's ever a time to count yourself out unless a ding email/letter comes.

Just a PSA: My JS1 time-slot confirmation email went to my spam folder because enough other people had reported the sender. I suspect that the email was sent from the scheduling website rather than Harvard itself and that's why, but I just wanted to put it out there in case anyone else has this problem.

For folks who have had the interviews, have they been with JS or with other members of her team?
