dont think so. most people were updated at least 3 times before hearing back. you'll probably get a couple more updates as well.. and then acceptance!

It mostly seems to be people who applied ED, I don't think they reviewed the regular decision applications as fully yet.

I got in via voicemail today! Applied RD. I had 4 updates excluding the original complete, the last of which was today.

I asked this before, but am I the only person have to do a phone interview with BU? Some people said because I am a foreign applicant so they want to make sure I could speak English(????!!!)
They told me both the dean and director will be on the phone, so now I am so nervous.What are they gonna to ask?
I like BU , they are so nice they even give me a TOEFL waiver, so i really hope to get in.
Also, I will be in Boston next week, anyone think it might help if I drop by their admission office?

I don't think their primary reason is to make sure you can speak english but since you presumably went to a non-US school, they're probably less familiar with the grading system or something. I wouldn't worry. Just answer honestly-- they're probably just trying to get a better feel for your university, classes, etc so they can make a good comparison.

My third update today as well. Generally the third has led to a decision not long after, correct?

when was your last date before today, a2b?

Yes usually but this cycle has been slow/weird. The people who got in 1/2 had 4 updates, with the 4th being 1/2.

1/2 was my second update. (I believe....too many dates to keep track of...)

Status just changed to hold for Fall grades. Does this mean I will get a decision upon sending those grades. Is this preferable to a wailtist? Never heard of this any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would think it is preferable to a WL. I've never really had this happen to me. I'm sure if you just call or send a polite email they can explain.
