Congrats to the new JS1s. I'm thinking they should be sending out about one new batch a week for the rest of the cycle.

And thanks to everyone posting about their interviews today. Did anyone gets asked why law or why Harvard or was it all about resume and app like hopeful's?

My biggest fear is that TLS represents a negligible amount of applicants and hundreds of JS1s have actually gone out.

Agree, TLS representation is skewed toward the right of the curve, but that's also where Harvard lives. The real number is undoubtedly higher than we can see from here, but probably less variance than you theorize.

A comforting thought, if you buy it. Or, I'm just reassuring myself.

lol it is just an irrational fear, not a theory. I like to think that TLSers (at least for upper echelon schools) represents ~50% of actual applicants. So if 15 people on here have gotten JS1s maybe 30-40 total have gotten the e-mail. Of course I have no data to back this up. Pure speculation.

Maybe Lavitz could count how many people got JS1 in last years thread compared to how many acceptances there are on LSN. And then we could deduct that from the actual number of acceptances and matriculants, etc.

I am totally jealous of all of you JS1's!! It's unreasonable with my number to expect a JS1 at all, much less in the first wave... but goddamnit I want it SO bad!!

In all likelihood, I'm an auto-deny. My only hope is that my galactic softs will overcome my non-HLS numbers and the fact I'm starting a second career at 40 years old. All of this means that if I *do* get a JS1, it probably won't be until late spring. Still, I cannot resist echoing your "goddamnit I want it so bad!"

Happy for those getting the emails. Also, because it helps advance the process and reduce the wait between now and the arrival of my rejection letter.

woooooooo damn yeah my heart just went through the roof. Went complete sometime around 10/20-25ish, 3.75 / 175, this is the first school I've heard back from. JS1, here we come!!!! I love you TLS, thank you for everything.

Good luck to all y'all with the interviews. I'd offer some words of advice, but they'd probably be pretty obsolete now that things have moved onto Skype. 20 minutes on Skype is standard now instead of 5 minutes on the phone? Yeesh... they're totally gonna judge your fashion sense too. Maybe next year's incoming class will be more attractive?
