So, to those of you who received a JS1...did you send in a LOCI? If so, what did you mention? AND when did you send it in?

This. Dithered over sending LOCI when held (about a month ago) and want to know if it's worth it to send one in now (little of note, alas).

Look on the left-hand side and it will say "interview scheduled" with the date of the JS1 e-mail. Complete/Under Review date does not change.

Well, they say two months, which it was, at least, for me. So no news is probably good news!

I'd like to think that it's good news, but let's face it - Harvard hasn't dinger many people in the last two months... Considering they have thousands left to ding and waitlist (certainly one thousand)....

Because they have the two-month waiting thing and "holding" is supposed to let you know that they've at least read your app. By the time it'd be relevant to hold you (end of March, if you submitted in end of January) then it's basically the end of the cycle. So, I'd stay optimistic!

Thanks! Just checked for specific dates and my application was "complete" January 9th (earlier than I thought) and UR january 25th.

I am finally joining this thread officially!

Hold email this Friday (UR 1/4, complete email 1/12). I'm guessing (hoping?) this hold doesn't mean much other than "it's been 2 months and we're letting you know we've looked at your application." Then again, this late... as someone suggested, it's probably fast track to the WL

They literally just started notifying people on hold, so I think all the holds are still in the running.

Maybe in a few weeks, then it's time for some pessimism.

i think we still are...harvard has really only gotten to internationals and some URMs I think there will be more js1s for those held in Jan.

You have to remember that last year's cycle isn't a good barometer for how this year is going to go, considering the new hire and shifted schedule. They got the first Hold -> JS1 in early/mid February, so it was a lot more anxious for everyone who didn't hear early.

I think we all know there is gonna be hold---->js1 movement. The only thing worrying people is if they are gonna be part of those receiving the JS1's

There have only been VERY few hold-->JS1 folks so far, most were URMs/Ints. Nobody really knows, but it's extremely likely that there will be more JS1s going out for us this week or, at the very latest, next week.
