So I applied here a little later in the game, but my status checker hasn't changed since 'application received' on 2/13, is this normal??

Re: Maryland Applicants c/o 2015
I applied on 1/25 and just heard back last week. I would give it a little more time. I was waitlisted along with several other people on this board last week. They seem to send out decisions in batches.Munchkin318 wrote:So I applied here a little later in the game, but my status checker hasn't changed since 'application received' on 2/13, is this normal??

For the people who were waitlisted last week, if your numbers are on the lower side, do you have strong softs relating to community involvement and public interest? I've been in review since 2/8 and this waiting is horrible.

Re: Maryland Applicants c/o 2015
I don't know about everybody else, but I have pretty solid softs. I was waitlisted last week (2.7 uGPA from USAFA and a 162 LSAT). I have served in the military for the last 9 years, and have been deployed several times. Hope that helps. Good luck! Write a LOCI even if you haven't heard anything. They will tell you they won't look at it, but I don't believe that.

I was accepted 2/17 but haven't heard any info regarding scholarships. Those of you who got in around this time, have you gotten scholarships.

I didn't have the best numbers but I work two jobs -- one at the Capitol for a Member of Congress (been here for 3 years). I also have my masters and graduated at the very top of my class. I have a lot of community service and mentor children in Kenya. I'm the president of my undergraduate alumni association and the administrative director at my church. I hope all of that gets me off of this wait list!!!! Good luck to everyone -- I guess we will know within a month!!!

Re: Maryland Applicants c/o 2015
Maryland climbed 3 points in the USNWR rankings after jumping up 8 points last year.
Interesting note for pt waitlists: it seems they're admitting a broader spectrum of students. 25th-75th LSAT score is 153-162 respectively. Good news for softs, I guess. The bad news is their acceptance rate dropped 10 points to 15.5%.

Most people don't put stock in year-to-year fluctuations. The rankings themselves are mocked since schools always fudge their numbers, especially this year since some schools abided by the new ABA employment guidelines (like WUSTL) while most school did not. I do find the reported LSAT ranges very useful, however.ama004 wrote:Thanks

I think the LSAT ranges are helpful. However, it would be nice to know the median too.

Random/silly question. If the admitted students day is from 9-2pm, do you think lunch is provided? If so, how are lunches usually done at this type of thing? Buffet? Seated? Bagged lunches?
