100% there with you. Im surprised some of us were waitlisted early on. Guess we suck...fortunately I made other plans but I still want UW!

I declined admission to the only other school I was accepted to. I am betting it all on Madison.

Wonder what's keeping them from sending out decisions. I've all but resigned hope I'll get in. Luckily I have two good choices. I'll probably ride the waitlist and commit of they offer me adequate funding. If not I'd turn them down. Sucks since I really wanted to go here.

Can anyone who was admitted already comment on when they have to make a commitment by? How much the deposit is? I thought I saw somewhere on the thread it was $0...honor system. Thanks!

It is a $0 deposit. Mine was originally due on (I think) April 23. They give you an option to defer your decision date until May 14 if you need more time. Once admitted, they will email a simple online form that you can submit if you want to matriculate, defer until May 14, or reject admission.

For all practical purposes I can't envision significant waitlist movement until the second half of May if this is the case. Seats probably don't open until a good number of more highly qualified applicants choose other schools. I'm not holding my breath quite yet...

I was accepted last week - any idea on when they release scholarship info? Nothing with initial packet.

I still haven't heard a decision.

Fruitoftheloom - Did you only get an initial welcome packet or did they notify you via email as well? I'm checking my email obsessively but if I also need to stalk my mailbox, that would be good to know.

This late in the game I'm expecting a rejection though.

Keep the faith. FWIW there was hardly anyone at ASW, which maybe doesn't bode well for their yield.

People are going to start withdrawing when the first deposit deadlines come too, which are coming up.

Oh Minnbills you give me hope. Sounds like UW might be experiencing that 16% drop in applicants the internet was buzzing about - hopefully to the benefit of those of us who are dying to get in.

Is it safe to assume that everyone still under review at this point will be get a decision back (accept, WL, deny) by April 23rd?

Got scholarship money today. I clicked not sure on the confirmation page, since I'm holding out for one or two more waitlists that I'm interested in. But I guess that swayed them into offering me money?

Withdrew today- Madison is awesome but it just wasn't the right option for me.

I have no clue, but I would think the opposite- that once the dust settles after the 23rd the Ad Com will have a better idea of what holes need to be filled in the class and base there decisions on that.
