Finally got a decision notice issued after 3 months of FRNDR!!!
Can any of these be waitlists/ rejections? I'm a 162, 3.78.

That's what I'm wondering. Thankfully, it looks like everyone who got status updates today has pretty high numbers?gatorlaw wrote:Finally got a decision notice issued after 3 months of FRNDR!!!

I doubt it, judging by all of our numbers and how early it is still for UF. Yes, my GPA is low but my LSAT puts me "in" at UF- if it is all just a numbers game.gatorlaw wrote:Finally got a decision notice issued after 3 months of FRNDR!!!

My mailings have been updated to reflect a decision notice in transit, as of today. I live about a mile from campus, so hopefully I get it tomorrow.

lol I live on 62nd and it took me 6 days (mostly because of thanksgiving getting in the way, but still) to receive the packet. Good luck!UMiamiCane wrote:My mailings have been updated to reflect a decision notice in transit, as of today. I live about a mile from campus, so hopefully I get it tomorrow.

Did it take six days from your status checker update, or six days from the mailings notice?
...I've waited almost four months I guess a few days won't kill me...

Re: U. of Florida c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Status checker said decision made on monday, mailed out on tuesday, and didnt get in until the following monday. Prob would have received it thursday or friday under normal circumstances (i assume). I was thinking Id get it, at worst, on saturday, but of course my apartment complex was closed on that saturday so I had to wait until monday. Longest wait ever.UMiamiCane wrote:dolfan0516 wrote:lol I live on 62nd and it took me 6 days (mostly because of thanksgiving getting in the way, but still) to receive the packet. Re: U. of Florida c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Got a full-tuition scholarship to Stetson today. I plan on dropping off a small packet for the scholarship committee by Friday. Thinking of including an updated resume, cover letter, updated transcripts, Stetson's offer... can't think of anything else. Any advice?
Edit to add: I thought this article was a very interesting one... I wonder how UF's volume of applications compare to previous years. A lower volume of apps could help explain some irregularities this cycle. http://www.manhattanlsat.com/blog/index ... n-decline/

Consider asking to meet with them one and one (if you can) and negotiate. I'm sure you look great on paper but if you can show them you're great on paper AND in person it will be even better.

We essentially have the same numbers; I'm 166 3.4. Notice allegedly mailed yesterday, hopefully we're both admits! Still anxious though.

Does anyone know if UF looks for anything special in the need-based scholarships and grants assistance application statement? I know I can talk about family circumstances which limit my parents ability to provide money, but I don't just want to put that and the obvious fact that law school is expensive. Advice?

I have no idea, but I can tell you my experience with it. I wrote about how law school was so expensive it was almost punishing and I obviously need the money as a student on their own blah blah. Didn't get shit first semester, but got a grant this semester. I believe the same can be said for a few of my classmatesVanillaBear wrote:Does anyone know if UF looks for anything special in the need-based scholarships and grants assistance application statement?
