yeah I did. I just looked at what I put down again. My scholarship deadline is blank. But I uploaded the scholarship mailing and sent it to them. I also I sent the matching statement. I don't think my UVA thing had a definite deadline so I just scanned it and uploaded it. Is this what you're asking? I hope I answered your question.
Yes, that answers my question. I was curious because I also left my scholarship deadline blank (for the same reason), but then I read the following on Berkeley's website:
matching scholarship applications are 'triaged' – meaning that they are reviewed in order of the deadline that the individual must respond to the other law school, not in the order the applications are received.
So that had me a bit concerned. Do you happen to know if your scholarship was from the matching application vs. from the optional scholarship interest form? While I submitted the latter after checking some boxes, I did not write an additional essay (though I did for the matching scholarship). I felt my PS provided all the necessary info. However, I'm beginning to worry that this was a mistake.
Yeah I saw that whole triaged thing and that's why I got in as quick as possible. I didn't want to miss out. I think my scholarship was matching only but in the last paragraph they did mention this:
I am sure you would find Berkeley Law a great fit for your interests and experiences given how interdisciplinary and dynamic they are. We think you would contribute a great deal to the intellectual diversity of the Class of 2014
I'm not sure if that is just the normal script or if they put it in after reading my essays. Hopefully that answers your question. If you need to know anything more specific feel free to PM me.

I'm looking at the form now... The only box I'd check is for environmental law interest, which is already VERY clear in my PS and DS (which also answer most of the prompt questions..) Point of submitting the form with just Env. Law box checked? Point of writing a statement on leadership potential to show that I care enough to write another statement?
Or just wait and see if they come to their own decision on scholarship?

Um... I suddenly can't find the application for the Scholarship Interest Essay. Am I just missing it, or did they take it down? Help? I was going to upload it this morning.

You don't need the login info for ASW. If you are in CA, you will have $150 for your flight. Just be there by that Friday... that's about all you need to know.
Congrats!
Sorry...I meant login info for everything else. Like scholarship forms, ect.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Berkeley in the new USNWR rankings. Evidently the median LSAT score went down for Boalt last year, while most of her peer schools went up. Let's hope we made up ground in other areas... :-/

Is berkeley pretty generous with need-based awards? I got about $20,000 from UCLA for next year. Will Berkeley be comparable? Or is is there no way to know?

The documentation they sent out said it capped out at $17,500 last year for in state, and a little more than that for out of state. To my knowledge, no new figures for 2011-2012 have come out yet.

No prob. One other thing--in addition to their need-based aid, it seems that there are several need-based scholarships. I'm not sure how truly need-based these are--they might be combo need/merit based--but maybe you'd qualify for one of those.
Again, congrats!
