I've gotten about 200 Cooley and Regent Law emails in the time it has taken Emory to send one. Such flapjackery!

you should prob take that personally. Try calling them repeatedly until they cave and tell you their decision over the phone, then get back to us. Thx.

I’m a bit surprised there haven’t been any more questions posted here, though I just visited the other Emory thread and see that a lot of people have been wondering about some things.

We are doing our acceptance notification a bit differently this year than last year – last year we issued them in a slow and steady stream over the course of a couple of months, which was pretty inefficient. This year we’re doing them in big batches which will allow us to improve the process in a few ways, some of which you will see and some of which you won’t. I can tell you that about 400 notifications left my part of the process about a week ago, and not quite another 200 today. I wish I had a better idea of how long it will take them to get from my desk to your mailbox, but since it’s the first time we’re doing it this way I don’t really know. Dean Rosenzweig had the first batch on his desk at the first part of this week, so I hope they’ll be arriving any time now.

Just to clear up one other thing, you will be getting your acceptance letters via snail mail, but other important communications will be sent via email.

Greetings from Emory Law. In a few days, we will begin notifying applicants of their admission status. Please add this email address (admission@law.emory.edu) to your list of approved recipients to ensure our messages are not filtered into your spam folder. We appreciate your patience and hope these reminders will assist in the process:
We will be issuing admission decisions in batches and anticipate all applicants will receive notification by Thursday, March 31. If you have not heard from us by then, contact the admission office at admission@law.emory.edu beginning Friday, April 1.
If you are admitted and awarded a merit scholarship, the amount will be indicated in your admission letter. Need-based financial aid will be awarded following admission notification with further information and instructions included in your notification. Because of the highly personalized review of your file, all merit-based scholarship decisions are final.
Unless we request additional information, do not send addenda. Any transcript updates should be sent to LSAC, which will automatically update your file with us.
We enjoy meeting our applicants and encourage admitted students to visit our campus to help in their decision-making process. To schedule a visit, go to http://www.law.emory.edu/visit. Emory Law’s Admitted Students Day is Saturday, April 9. Details will be provided with admission notifications.

I think the first real acceptance is going to need to post a picture of the letter along with the accepted student holding a sign with today's date on it and your birth certificate.
