in today as well. mentioned consideration for scholars of law. does that come with everyone's acceptance??

It seems all applications are automatically reviewed for the Scholars in Law award, according to their Financial Aid website:

"Scholar in Law Awards are merit based and awarded to candidates who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and LSAT performance. Every applicant is automatically reviewed for scholarship consideration whether or not he or she applies for financial aid."

So I was just browsing the forum archives looking at old WUSTL threads. Apparently in 2008 they sent out emails to a bunch of people saying they got full rides and then about 20 minutes later emailed back and said it was a mistake. I would be so pissed lol

Haha what a tease. I would hope they wouldn't have sent that to anybody who wasn't getting any aid at all.

Yesterday in the NU thread one student that deferred admission from last year was saying that a few years ago, NU's business school (Kellog) admitted ~50 applicants and then the next day had to tell them it was a mistake and that they didn't, in fact, gain admission. Guhhhhh!

i doubt thats true. that would be grounds for a lawsuit if a student had a heart attack. hard to see a school making that large of a mistake.

Just got the happy holidays e-mail. I know a lot of people tend to like the personal touch that comes with personal mail and signed letters, but I kind of like that they're more electronic than other schools.

Ditto. I did receive the UIUC holiday email with no admissions decision and nearly sht my pants bc it said to join the UIUC c/o 2014 Facebook page... NU's gobble gobble Thanksgiving turkey takes the cake, though.

That's good to hear, I was thinking I would be pretty annoyed if I went as far as to join that facebook page, and then get denied and have to remove myself....
