True. The wait is probably exacerbated by the fact that they don't really do decisions before mid-Dec..

Still in review as of 12/8. I really want USC because of their entertainment law courses.

I have family visiting for the holidays and i was hoping to have a decision by Xmas... Not looking too likely

Has anyone gotten an official decision yet? My status checker still says "decision finalized 12/8" but I haven't received anything.

I have DF 12/8 no mailings - haven't heard a thing. Do they usually call? How do they typically notify?

It took me 18 days to go complete after submitting, and still not in review, I would find ^ very comforting.

That's surprising considering your stats...
Also 18 days to go complete? Maybe they needed something from LSAC/your school like a Dean cert/LOR. If not, that seems long for USC.

It was because of a Dean's cert, just unfortunate it took them that long to process a piece of paper that said "She graduated on good standing and we have no record of any academic or disciplinary misconduct."

who knows anymore. i've been IR for a month and 8 days

honestly, though... with no mailings having gone out yet and only a few DF, i'd say it's too early to worry.

Don't think so. Haven't seen any of the DF 12/8 people get anything in the mail yet (good or bad).

NO ONE has gotten any mailings yet. I'm going to go ahead and say they are waiting to finalize a few more apps before they send out mailings at the end of this week or beginning of next.

We would appreciate it if you would take a look your address using the online status checker. If the address is incorrect or incomplete, please let us know by sending an email to: admissions@law.usc.edu. Please let us know by Monday, December 20, 2010."

I got excited for a USC email, and it was a disappointing email about my address. Still, it seemed like a somewhat strange email. I submitted a few weeks ago, and went complete a few days ago, it's still the same....

I got that exact same email this evening, and had the same thought, that they're confirming before letters go out. I think they're one of the only schools that doesn't call or email, so it would make sense.
