I think my directness was a bit risky, but I wanted to be honest. We'll see what they think.
Sent out my LOCI a couple of weeks ago. Just got a confirmation of receipt but thats it. I too sent it out regular mail.

why regular mail? I sent mine via email and was pulled off the WL within a week or so. I dont think it makes a difference.

got the same scholly as another high number applicant in here who has better offers from higher ranked schools. It's a shame that UW doesn't have the money to meet student's expectations. I withdrew and hope one of you get my spot and $$.

Get this man a beer!

You're giving hope to children in need (or just those of us masochistic enough to be willing to pay sticker).

What are your numbers. ppl who have been pulled off already usually were higher than ppl like me (reverse-splitter).

3.67 169 might have had something to do with the turnaround for me

Yea, you should have just been admitted with those numbers...they probably just wanted to make sure you were genuinely interested in their school.

Just went in review after filing on 3/4. Hope I hear soon so I avoid having to pay my deposit to Marquette on April 15th. Anyone know of anyone else who received a degree from Kaplan University that went on to UW? I ended with a 3.94 and a LSAT of 163. Do you think I have a chance? They are accredited and Marquette accepted me, but I wonder if a school like UW will discount the degree.

If they are accredited, they are accredited. You're fine.

I was accepted in late December and received mine early March.

On a separate note, who is going to ASW?

Trying to see if there is enough interest for a separate ASW thread.

I was accepted in mid January and have yet to hear any scholly/finanancial info. Does any one know if this means I am completely out of running for some kind of offer and should assume I have to pay sticker. It doesn't make sense to me to pay out of state sticker and I rather just go to Chicago-Kent with the good $$$ package I received since Chicago is home and where I want to work. Any thoughts?

Thats a tough financial decision. Are you firmly set on living in Chicago?

Yeah I am positive I want to live in Chicago. The $$$ difference including tuition and accommodations is $90k if I choose Wisconsin instead of Kent (I would just put up with living at home with my parents for 3 years meaning no rent etc. if I go to Kent). Is it really worth the near 100k debt?

I have a friend who is a 3L at Chicago Kent. He really likes it/loves Chicago. He's doing fine it seems.

If you are set on living in Chicago, I would say Kent would be a better choice provided Wisconsin doesn't offer any financial aid. A good friend of mine is a 3L at Kent, and he absolutely loves it. He is an excellent networker and has received some impressive job offers.

Congratulations! I'm seeing a little movement on LSN. Another person with similar stats just got off the W/L too.
