lol well you clearly checked last years forum enough to find out that there weren't status checkers--> this would have been a helpful response the first time instead of "how would anyone know"

a leading question if i ever saw one lol

The fact that status checkers are new this year has been mentioned I don't know how many times already in this thread.

PS: leading question =/= rhetorical question

It's already been discussed ITT several times that we're the first to have status checkers. Knowing that could just mean someone keeps up with the schools they've applied to and not necessarily that they spent forever searching the old forums. Nice speculation though...

I believe a few pages back a NYU 1L-er dropped in and specifically said that they didn't have status checkers last year and that we were lucky.

We just get crabby when we have to repeat that info for the millionth time.

Somebody else probably mentioned it the first time, but I definitely wouldn't say you're lucky -- it was pretty sweet having the admitted students site all set up (for the people who got in, at least, though I don't imagine it was any worse than the status checker for those who didn't).

And I continue to read TLS instead of contracts. God help any of you who have Epstein next year.

What leads you to believe that the admitted students' site is no longer working?

I tried a couple different versions of my login and wasn't able to get in. It also seems silly that they'd update the site when there's no way to get to it absent following a year-old link. I suppose it's possible that they'll direct people there once they've been admitted, though.

So, NYU is apparently processing the hell out of my app...I submitted 10/29 and have been stuck on application processing since. Is anyone else who applied before November still waiting to go complete/UR?

Also, good luck y'all! Tomorrow is freakin' December

I'm the same date as you except for UR. I kind of liked Georgetown's date changes because at least I knew something was happening. With NYU I don't know if they saw my numbers, laughed, and immediately put my file in the absolutely not pile or if different people have looked at it and then hit it with a giant red reject stamp. :(

Really hard to say, especially with no precedent for status-checker. Speaking of which, it's been several minutes since I last refreshed the screen...better get on that.

Possibly, but even if they release decisions tomorrow, they won't start popping up in mailboxes till Friday/Saturday, if they keep with previous years and go with snail mail.

I wish I could just walk down there and ask for my decision in person. Seems like such a waste to mail something from Washington Square to Union Square.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
