I called today, and the very snappy girl at the desk told me that they hadn't made ANY decisions yet and that even if you applied early, it doesn't guarantee you will get a decision by late November/early December. I hate it when people are unhelpful.

So I've been cyber stalking my new job, and it seems that the employees are pretty split between UF grads (favors a tad) and Stetson grads. Not one FSU grad! Then there are the higher ranked schools, like Emory, UCLA, Notre Dame, and Chicago. I thought this was interesting. If anyone wants to know where (and didn't see when I previously blurted it out on these forums) you can PM me. I know they are looking to expand also... there are a ton of huge, beautiful, and empty offices that they are looking to fill. I am excited/curious to see who fills them. Oh and the only person from what I can tell that they hired straight out of LS is a Stetson grad... hmmm...

Hey, how long did it take for you to actually hear from UF once you applied? lsac says they generated a report for uf 11/10, but I still haven't even gotten an email confirming that they received my app? FSU did it in like a day. hmm....

just a heads up -- my status checker says that a letter was mailed today. Hopefully I'll get it in 2 or 3 days instead of the 5-10 days UF tells me to expect.

for what it's worth, I submitted all my residency information on 10/25 (so I went complete around then) and should be in as I'm above both 75% (I think? PM me if you really want stats). OTOH I didn't exactly follow their essay directions sooo we'll see.

oh, forgot to say -- I went straight from initial review to letter mailed. fun fun

Agreed, from what I can tell those whose status has changed are pretty much the number rockstars/autoadmits of the board. I wouldn't start getting discouraged if your status hasn't changed yet. I'm not. If it hasn't done anything by January, then we'll talk...

Kind of. Those whos status didn't change to "decision pending" are the rock stars. The rest of us, with "decision pending", could be on a ride until the late spring. According to last years thread, a FEW "decision pending" people changed... but many stayed that way for a long time... and majority ended up with a WL or ding

You know me- I gotta see it to believe it. But after some quick call phone calls I still have a couple of friends who are above both medians that are in the decision pending batch, so I don't think that's a bad thing.
