Re: SMU 2011
It's funny how you dont realize the pain in waiting until you have to actually go through it yourself. I remember reading last years thread and thinking the end of January doesnt seem that bad, but when you've already heard from almost all the other schools, it starts to really fall into perspective. In any event, good luck everyone! It should only be a few more days. I hope we all end up in Dallas next year.

Re: SMU 2011
I wonder if we'll start to hear more decisions tomorrow, considering some people have already heard. It doesn't sound like that was the case last year, as people in previous years apparently only heard "decision rendered" and then got a call/mailing at the end of the week or the next week. Perhaps SMU is moving a little faster in 2011?lawboy22 wrote:It's funny how you dont realize the pain in waiting until you have to actually go through it yourself. One would hope so. I mean they did move back the deadline to apply for ED by over a month. You would think that would result in earlier decisions, but that does not seem to be the case. A day or two early would still be much appreciated at this point.mcnabb5 wrote:I wonder if we'll start to hear more decisions tomorrow, considering some people have already heard. An acceptance from SMU would absolutely end my cycle, so I am sooo excited/anxious to hear back this week!

Yeah I'm not too worried since I seem to have their magic LSAT number, so I'm more excited than anything. All my friends in Dallas keep bugging me about when I'll hear from SMU; I'm ready to give them some good news finally!Burgstaller04 wrote:It's been a while since i've seen your numbers but if I remember right, you should be set.thewarflamingo wrote:An acceptance from SMU would absolutely end my cycle, so I am sooo excited/anxious to hear back this week!

Re: SMU 2011
You probably will if they do things the same as last year, which I'm praying they do because then I should get $$, too. SMU is VERY generous.swiftwings88 wrote:for me its a question of if I get in, and then the scholly money. i would really like to get over 20k/yearthewarflamingo wrote:Yeah I'm not too worried since I seem to have their magic LSAT number, so I'm more excited than anything. People from last year with stats worse than yours got 20k or more, according to LSNswiftwings88 wrote:for me its a question of if I get in, and then the scholly money. i would really like to get over 20k/year

Well that makes me pretty nervous. Sitting on a 164, but a 3.38 gpa. This wait is a killer.

We have similar stats and I've analyzed LSN like crazy, so we should be fine and get $$waketiger wrote:thewarflamingo wrote:They seem to love 164+.waketiger wrote: Sorry if I missed it but what is their magic LSAT number?

I really want SMU but it's gonna take 90k+ in scholly money to do the trick. Otherwise, you will find me in burnt orange next year.

Did you apply for any of the scholarships? I think 30k a year is the most SMU gives besides full tuition.Burgstaller04 wrote:I really want SMU but it's gonna take 90k+ in scholly money to do the trick. Otherwise, you will find me in burnt orange next year.
