just got dinged via email, below both medians (so, it's no surprise). Status checker had me "under review" since January 7th. GL to everyone else!

Just checked, I'm still sitting at UR 1/7 with no email. At this point I'm expecting a waitlist; it's be nice if I didn't have to wait until April for them to tell me to keep waiting.LawSchoolPorFavor wrote:just got dinged via email, below both medians (so, it's no surprise). UR 12/12 and expecting a WL as well. I hope I'm wrong about this one, though.

11/07 and NYU was the one school I was SURE would reject me. Now that I've had some other (not surprising) rejections, I don't know why NYU has held on to me for so long...vegenator wrote:Still ur 11/11/10. Applied on 10-4. Meh....

Re: NYU 2011
If my status checker says decision letter sent (2/25/11) and I can't get into the admitted students page am I definitely waitlisted? If so this does not bode well for my cycle (hourumd gave me >90% odds at NYU...).

Give it a few days, I think it took 5 days for me to be able to log into the ASW.redsoxfan2495 wrote:If my status checker says decision letter sent (2/25/11) and I can't get into the admitted students page am I definitely waitlisted? Re: NYU 2011
Thanks. Now I can spend the next few days constantly checking the AS page and calling my parents to ask them if a big purple envelope came in the mail.clearfire wrote:Give it a few days, I think it took 5 days for me to be able to log into the ASW.redsoxfan2495 wrote:If my status checker says decision letter sent (2/25/11) and I can't get into the admitted students page am I definitely waitlisted? Re: NYU 2011
Is anyone else trying to do Columbia ASW and NYU ASW in one trip, March 30-April 1?
Any ideas on where to stay for cheap? Does either school offer a cheap hotel block or help you find current students to crash with? I don't care if I stay near one or the other or even right in between... I'll need to learn to navigate NYC public transit at some point anyways.

Re: NYU 2011
Still haven't received my purple envelope, but I just received an e-mail from financial aid congratulating me "again" on my acceptance so I guess I am definitely in. It was a good thing too, I was about to call NYU to check as I was leaving tomorrow for Columbia's admitted students days and wanted to make sure I was actually going to be able to also attend NYU's.

Re: NYU 2011
On The Ave hotel at 77th and Broadway is having a really good sale right now (rooms for like $75-150 a night) not super cheap, but not crazy expensive either and its a really nice hotel. My family always stays there when we visit my sister at Columbia undergrad...shoop wrote:Is anyone else trying to do Columbia ASW and NYU ASW in one trip, March 30-April 1?

For housing with current students, I found it helpful to check with student groups that have reached out to me.
