well they told me via phone decisions should be by end of april. friday is the last day then and nyu loves tuesdays so yeah, lots should happen manyana! I'm sure there will be more acceptances.

They wait till the absolute last minute to waitlist even October applicants whom they could have waitlisted (reasonably) in at least February. I know that they can do as they please and that I generally am at their mercy/my status as an applicant doesn't necessary entitle me to anything better.

But it is difficult to weigh what they do against the example set by other schools, many of which arguably are more difficult to get into and thus perhaps less inclined to give a shit whether their applicants wait several months without word. They are plain rude and it isn't about being waitlisted or rejected - I had a sense of my fate when I first applied! It's just ridiculous that they can't do things transparently and in a timely manner.

Isn't that crazy, though? Like I remember us chatting then and we really had a sense that this was going to happen for us. Meanwhile people with nov UR dates actually saw date changes yesterday; maybe we summoned this bad luck onto ourselves?

There's actually no point.
And I know they've known. There's no other way to explain dates not changing while others experience date changes and receive positive results.

I'd like to be put out of my misery now and would love nothing more than to send a scathing email but that's pointless, too. They just suck.

Maybe they are waiting until after May 1 so they can give us all Vandys freed up by non-depositors.

Thats what I'll be going with.
