Thanks for the well wishes. I felt like it went quite well. I was able to put forward a pretty accurate image of myself, my experiences/perspectives, and what I stand to add to an educational community. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Can I just say publicly that I'm in the 40 days and 40 nights post JS1 stage. I'm thinking of recording an album and calling it Radio Silence in commemoration.

Can it be assumed that if I have heard nothing (application complete 1/4), that I am headed for a ding or WL soon? I can't figure out if other people from my complete date have heard. Ah!

Edit: My stats aren't great, but I am URM.

FWIW, I'm an URM complete that same week and was notified for a JS1 on 1/29. (169, 3.6x)

Just be patient.. I wasn't notified until 1/17 or so. I went complete 11/15

okay, yea... I'm thinking I'll be hearing some bad news soon. :/

What kind of #s are we talking here? I was initially held (complete mid Oct, held early Jan) and then offered JS1 early Feb, so a long wait doesn't necessarily mean no JS1. Hang in there.

I wouldn't give up. I was a December complete and only got the JS1 invite last week. Up until that point, I felt pretty much what I imagine you're feeling right now.

We saw 1 or 2 January completes in last week's hold fest, so if you weren't included in that, that could be a good (or bad?) sign. At least, I decided to take that as a good sign for me. ~~God~~ JS only knows.

thanks for the support everyone... I know it is a total long-shot as it is. 166/3.7, but I was kind of hoping for a miracle haha

Really, just hang in there. I know the waiting game is terrible and soul-destroying and cruel/unusual, but you do have a shot this cycle. It'll all play out soon enough, just relax and hope for the best!
