Prime12 - I was in the same boat as you. Called admissions 5 minutes ago for my decision and I was rejected. No shock there. Notre Dame here I come.

The mailman just came and handed me the rejection envelope
.
Unless I get off waitlist at Michigan I guess I'm going to Minnesota.

Re: Cornell waiting room
Applied in December and my status just now changed to complete. They even threw in some unnecessary punctuation to boot:
Your application is ready for review by the Admissions Committee. If, your application was complete by February 1, you should receive a written decision by the next 8 to 12 weeks.
So great, Mid-June? Yeah, I'll clear out my schedule for it.

Finally rejected today!
I already sent in my deposit to UConn because I knew I had no chance at the big red. Applied 11/09, Complete 1/28, Dinged 3/18. Good luck everyone!

Damn Cornell is slow. My app was received 1/8 and I thought they must have accidentally thrown it away. Complete email at 3am this morning. I wonder how long before I find out the result.

Does someone have a link to the admitted students login page? I went DR on 3/15, apparently, and would like to see if I can login. Sadly I can't find the right page. Thanks!

DR few days ago... Called (then got letter). I was placed on "reserve." Secretary + letter made it clear it wasn't a waitlist... I really need to get off "reserve"... Do you guys have any suggestions for what to write because I already wrote an LOCI?

The reserve is their waitlist isn't it?Snoopy1216 wrote:DR few days ago... Called (then got letter). I was placed on "reserve." Secretary + letter made it clear it wasn't a waitlist... Re: Cornell waiting room
Nope. The waitlist ppl get answered sometime in the summer and the reserve ppl get answered after the first deposit but still during admissions seasons. The woman also explained that with reserve ppl some seats are still open.Kakarot wrote:The reserve is their waitlist isn't it?Snoopy1216 wrote:DR few days ago... Called (then got letter). BUT I see it as more of a pre-waitlist. A little better because you aren't doomed till August waiting, but still its a "not yet" kinda thing...

Same --- it still shows my date as 1/8 though, not 3/18... has it just not updated yet? I'm kinda confused.itsirtou wrote:Went complete today, applied 1/8

The admitted students website is not password protected. If you don't see a link to the student forum in your status checker or you haven't received an e-mail telling you that you're in, then you were probably placed on the wait list or rejected.J Burrito wrote:Does someone have a link to the admitted students login page? Re: Cornell waiting room
Another option that people have reported is that their decision is a request for an interview. Could be any of those things.dudester wrote:The admitted students website is not password protected.
