As a very likely wl candidate, I stand with scoobs and toast in the jsjk camp.

Jsw is just so....banal. And, I think we as a thread are better than that.

We didn't choose JS1/JS2 though. Maybe we can have a vote on those terms as well?

Actually, perhaps our old friend JSMaybe would be fitting for JS1.

whether it was a hail mary app or your #1 school, rejections hurt. the good news is everyone ITT is going to hear back from great schools <3

So 26 people on LSN got rejected today.

26/.15 = 173 dings, assuming 15% are on LSN. I think that percentage is a little higher than that, but on the flip side most people don't update their account the second they get a response.

You really think they would comb through TLS like that? That would be a ton of extra work, and it doesn't seem like it would be that fruitful in most cases.

Apparently there was at least one TLSer who was ID'd by JS this cycle (and that was with fake stats in their profile).

There have been multiple people who have been ID'd through the forum, and I know that adcoms read it. I have very distinct numbers and combined with some other factors it would probably not be difficult to match me to my application.

That said, not getting a JS2 despite good numbers has caused me to come up with some wacky theories as to why. It probably doesn't have anything to due with me posting here, but you know, neuroticism/speculation and all that.......

I didn't do anything to hide my identity really because I didn't think adcoms would have time/care about people posting on TLS

Any idea how JS ID'd him/her? How did he find out he was ID'd?

Same here. My need based should be pretty generous given my *no one in my family made enough to be required to pay taxes in the last 5 years* background and my numbers shouldn't be competitive for scholarships that would make other schools competitive with Harvard. So, pretty sure I'm heading to Cambridge.
