MSPeast wrote:Apparently I went to "decision made" on 3/11 (I don't constantly check the status checkers), but I haven't heard anything more specific yet. I'm 3.6 and 171 - in a normal year that would be pretty solid for Cornell, but this year is weird. I didn't get any e-mails or phone calls or anything.
call first thing in the morning tomorrow and theyll tell u over the phone ur decision

So nobody has any opinion on this? I actually so have a major accomplishment to update them on that is not mentioned anywhere else in my application.gfg12 wrote:So...I went complete last week (applied 1/5), but would it be worth it to send any sort of an update loci type letter? I know they haven't even glanced at my application, but I do have something to say. Thoughts?

What do you want? If you think the accomplishment is worth writing them a letter for, then write it.gfg12 wrote:So nobody has any opinion on this? It wont hurt you at all. Best case scenario: It helps. Worst case scenario: No one gives it much more than a glance, cause they probably have LOCI's out the ass at Cornell right now.

Re: Cornell waiting room
I'm assuming I'm going to eventually be dinged, but I thought I would apply here anyways. I applied late after my February LSAT score, but the admissions office said that it would be okay. I have a specific interest in Cornell's labor law clinic. I'm hoping that and my WE and my graduate degree help override my GPA. Either way, I needed to apply to at least one reach.
I'm still waiting for my file to even to "complete" though. The only thing that they might not have is the Dean's certification. Sent that to my undergrad one week ago, so it may be getting there early this week.
Good luck everyone. I think I just paid $80 for a nice rejection letter from Cornell, but I had to take a chance.

In my area its usually 12-130 but I think it probably varies.MSPeast wrote:I tried calling at 12:50 Eastern and got a recording... maybe they were out to lunch? Do people tend to eat lunch a bit later on the East Coast? Here in the Central TZ lunch rush is basically 11 to 12:30.

I just went decision rendered, but I can link to the admitted students discussion site, etc. Is this a guaranteed in, or does everyone get this?

Congrats to the new admits!!MSPeast wrote:I just made a clandestine phone call from my building's stairwell several floors away from my company's floors, and I've been accepted! 3.6, 171, applied early December, complete around Feb 5th. This shakes it up a bit but I'm still strongly leaning GULC. We'll see.

Oh, well, shit. I hadn't realized the financial aid deadline was, well, today and hadn't considered it yet because I hadn't been accepted. How screwed are you if you turn it in late?

Re: Cornell waiting room
They give you like a week or so from acceptance after 3/15 to fill out the Cornell FA sheet. But, the FAFSA and need access probably should have been filled out prior to the deadline.
