Congrats
Any holds get in/rejected/waitlisted so far?
If last year is any indication, people won't start getting in off of Hold until around April 10th. Nobody on "reserve" or "waitlist" or whatever gets in. Period.
Just kidding. I think they get looked at in May.

I sent in my app on ... 11/17, went complete 12/10. Letter postmarked 3/23.
I was shocked --- my numbers aren't fabulous and I figured that the delay in hearing from them meant I was rejected or waitlisted.
There is hope for those of y'all who are still waiting.

Congrats!

Congrats!!
Have any non-holds written a letter or thought of doing it? Like, "Hi Columbia, I still heart you, let me count the ways" type thing or is that considered annoying?

Does anyone know if deferrals have been notified yet? I feel like a broken record asking, but I would like to know!

162. 3.8 Berkeley grad. URM. Held. Do I even belong haha? All of your numbers seem AMAZING. Columbia has been my dream dream forever but I'm slowly dying from hope. I got into Berkeley and was wondering if I should mention this in my LOCI? Thoughts? i also got a 130k scholly at Wash U (not sure whether I should mention this either).

I'd advise against mentioning the WUSTL scholarship--not a peer school and therefore not relevant.
Congratulations on receiving some form of correspondence from CLS. A lot of URMs (myself included) are in purgatory right now, waiting for their inevitable WL/rejections.

To follow up on my own comment so that it may help others -- I sent them a quick email to express my continued interest and provide a significant update and they responded immediately and said they would add it to my file.

So I received the binder today, though I never got a VCE (I'm assuming USPS lost it). Is there anything that was in the VCE that I should know about?
Thanks.

If you got scholy money that'd have been in the VCE.

That's right my bad. Hamiltons and Butlers come with the VCE.

Would they still be giving Hamiltons and Butlers this late in the game?

O, that gives me hope! I might be a distinction. Are there any spaces even open though?

so i was a late-ish app, 170/3.95...went complete near the end of February. haven't heard a thing since I went complete. should I be expecting a ding soon or possible waitlist? does Columbia waitlist as they go, or do they wait til the end of the cycle like NYU? I'm wondering why I haven't been auto-rejected yet...anybody else still waiting???

Oh no, now Nax is going to hijack this thread with his mood swings... ha... Good luck, man. Just don't obsess over the decision in this thread, like you did in the NYU one.

I feel like I should alternate "I'm in, I just know it!" with "I'm so screwed" posts.
(The reality is that I have no shot).
You never know. Good luck!
