Someone in the Y thread suggested that Y's delay was because professors who generally review apps are busy fighting Trump's measures, so the office is waiting on them to submit their feedback. Admittedly, H's process is a lot less reliant on faculty, but I wouldn't be surprised if that had contributed to the slowdown.

there are 840 applicants this year with 173 or above (i.e. 173+) score.
seems fair to assume that 25% of these are strong splitters with gpa < 3.5/3.6
that leaves with 630 applicants with 173+ that are interesting to HYSCCN

173+ scorers at HYS, at least 450 may be more
173+ at col, ~150
173+ at chi, ~30-40
173+ at N, ~30-40

this alone adds to 660-680.
look like 172/173 is the magic score for this cycle and medians may drop.

I did some very rough estimates playing based on Spivey's number's from 2/24 vs last year + published medians + score frequency of "accepted (Attending)" folks posted on LSN last year. It looks even more severe for HLS's 175 75th percentile.

There were 526 applicants (not matriculants) with 175+ last year. My conservative-ish estimate is that 300+ of those matriculated at just the t6 (200+ at HYS, 140+ at H alone), and 340+ total matriculants in the t14. That would mean ~66-80% of those folks actually matriculated in the t14.

This year there were only 379 applicants with 175+. If we guess the same 20-33% are out, that leaves 250-300 total actual candidates at 175+.

So, last year's matriculants:

175+ at YS: 60+
175+ at H: 140+
175+ at CCN: 90+

That's 290+ already before looking at any of the Darrows or the rest of the top tier, but this year there may be as few as 250 decent candidates. YS are gonna probably take the same 60+, leaving potentially as few as ~190. If HLS still needs 140 to maintain their 75th, they are gonna need to be real creative.

At least we know if there's no movement by 11:00 we can postpone the stress to next Thursday...maybe.

I thought 10ish was the most common time of when it started and if there hasn't been anything by 10:30, we should all give up.
