Re: Northwestern Law C/O 2016 (2012-2013 Applicants)
Is anyone else who deposited nervous that a week after the deadline, there hasn't been some sort of confirmation email? I got the automatic one immediately after my payment, but there was no confirmation of the receipt of the Candidate Response Form or the Scholarship Acceptance Form. Am I just being paranoid because all of my other offers are expiring? haha

It feels weird that there is no final welcome to nu email, but rest assured you're set. I've been in contact with them since and they've clearly received it. If you're feeling extra paranoid you can check your status checker, which will say deposit received.

You can also check your bank account to see if they have deposited the check, I don't remember exactly how quickly they did it when I applied, but that's how I reassured myself.

Yeah, status checker says deposit received, and I did the payment electronically. Like I said, I'm being paranoid. So as long as none of you other TLS-ers received some Welcome to NU email, I'm feeling pretty okay. Thanks!

Haha, I don't live at my mailing address (still finishing UG) but my brother has been screening my mail. He said I "got a card from christina at NU about some kind of swag." I'm going to assume it's the same thing

I absolutely cannot believe Im saying this: I feel so blessed to have been accepted here, but I will be withdrawing tonight. $90,000 also back in the pool.
This is the school I would have most likely attended in a vacuum with no ties/SO. Everyone choosing NU will have an amazing experience. Best of luck to you all.

Also, does anyone know if NU negotiates with Gulc offers? I have 90k at Gulc. I have not been accepted to NU yet but I'm wondering if I should put my seat deposit down so I can use it as leverage.

What should I do?
I asked for money several days ago and I was told to wait.
How much longer should I wait? Should write another letter?
The other school that I would go to if I don't get any money from NU requires payment by check
and I am afraid I might miss the deadline since I am mailing my check from abroad.

If they don't already know about your other deposit deadline you should let them knowBrysia wrote:What should I do?

Has anybody on hold received a decision yet? I'm assuming since the deposit deadline is 04/30 we probably won't receive a decision this week, but doesn't hurt to ask.

Would have loved to gone to Northwestern but I withdrew this Monday with a $105,000 scholarship. Hope my seat and or money goes to one of you. =]
By the way, the scholarship is a post-negotiated amount. PM me if you want details.

Hey guys, I have a question.
Does NU have a summer start program for incoming 1Ls in the regular JD program? If so, do I have to pay out of pocket?

Summer start like taking actual classes? No. Summer start like a preview thing? There was one last year, and I believe it was free. franklyscarlett did it; she'd know more.walkingpanda wrote:Hey guys, I have a question.

going to withdraw this week. i assume that $750 is as non-refundable as they make it sound, right?
