I emailed requesting a scholarship and they came through for me - but I had other offers on the table to negotiate with...Interminable_Waiting wrote:Has anyone who was accepted received a scholly, and they didn't email you about it first (I know Kim received her via email when she was accepted).
I am wondering if there is a chance I might have one coming in the mail with my acceptance letter.

Re: Fordham Waiting Room
When do they start looking at the wait list, is it April 15th?
I don't know if I should prepare a LOCI and send the wait list form back with it or just send the wait list form and send a LOCI in a few weeks. What do you guys think? The wait list form took a while to get to me, I want to send it as soon as possible.

Goosey, a bunch of schools may have been holding your app for new scores. It happened to me, so I went from "applied decently early" to "last minute last minute no whammies". It's weird when you feel like your cycle is just getting started in Marchgoosey wrote:I am a retaker so it was 161, new score is 166. its good cuz I went from their 25th to their 75th with the lsat, but my gpa is horrendous--so not quite sure how that will play out. edit-and my score is far from crushing anyone. But I am happy with it because I finally got closer to my pt range which is a huge relief.Matteliszt wrote:Curious,
What is your LSAT? I imagine your LSAT crushes mine at 163 and I got a wait list, so I would imagine you will get in.
Im just grateful that I squeaked by with the 161 long enough without getting rejected to have another score to report.
did you apply for pt or ft?

Has anyone called recently and asked about the part-time decisions timeline? I wonder how revealing they'd be.
In any case, at least we're not in a real waiting room, with copies of Highlights and Time strewn all over the place and muzak playing in the background, right?

I knew that was coming! I'm a few days away from being complete for 8 weeks, so I suppose I shouldn't. Although I suppose I could do it anonymously. I just love Fordham so much and don't want them to think I'm clingy . . .

She's got a point. I believe the age old adage is "S/he who smelt it, dealt it." I'm sure that somehow applies here.nygrrrl wrote:I NOMINATE YOU!!!fitzgerald86 wrote:Has anyone called recently and asked about the part-time decisions timeline? I wonder how revealing they'd be.![]()

Fair enough! I'll put myself on deck for Friday. I should at least wait until I'm a few days past the 8 weeks.

Further - from the Fordham class of 2013/2014 board (quoted w/o permission
)
Edit - or just accept us. Whichever comes first.
Followed by:Well looks like this thread should get a fair number more contributors after today... which is definitely good news in my book, the enthusiasm of those crazy kids over in the Fordham Waiting Room is infectious
They need to put us on the payroll.Yes, it is infectious.
I didn't even consider Fordham before yesterday...got accepted via email. After spending 2 hours over in the fordham waiting room, I'm now rabidly enthusiastic about this school.

Re: Fordham Waiting Room
knew i could count on some of you to be on TLS as soon as you got to work
does anyone know if there's even a snowball's chance in hell of getting money if you get in off the waitlist? (lsat>75th, 25th<GPA<median)
i do have acceptances to similarly ranked schools with considerable scholarships already, which is the main reason i would withdraw. however being in ny (regardless of this economy, better LS's in the city to compete with, etc) would be a personal plus.

I'm going to say Rocky is in cuz 'flying squirrel' is a tremendous boost.
I've got a group from work going to the tour tomorrow at 6 since we all applied together. We can take pictures, right? I'd like to post some up here for those in the waiting room who've finished all the 'what's different?' sections of the highlights magazines.

My application went 'complete' before my Feb LSAT was released (2/22). Is this a problem? I want them to consider my last score.

Judging by how long everyone else has been waiting, it is much too early for me to hear anything, but I could really use some news from somewhere today, because I'd take any excuse to quit my job today. It's 10 am, and I've already had it - it's going to be a long day....

in other news, HAPPY THREE MONTH [since my app went complete] ANNIVERSARY FORDHAM! If you were a real person, I'd take you to dinner at Per Se followed by Attila at the Met. Like Thomas Keller and Verdi, we make an eclectic yet classy combo, Fordham.
