According to the admitted students FAQ (http://www.lawschool.cornell.edu/admiss ... ts_FAQ.cfm) first deposit must be postmarked by 4/16chicoalto0649 wrote:when's cornells first seat deposit?

Re: Cornell waiting room
so like....I called. Deadlines will be adjusted for people who hear back closer to that deadline. Also, when you see you went decision you can actually CALL and they will give you the decision over the phone to save you time.chutzpah wrote:According to the admitted students FAQ (http://www.lawschool.cornell.edu/admiss ... ts_FAQ.cfm) first deposit must be postmarked by 4/16chicoalto0649 wrote:when's cornells first seat deposit?

Went to visit Cornell yesterday and couldn't have had a better visit. Good luck to those still waiting to hear back. As far as those who got in, financial aid packages should be going out next week, according to the fin. aid office. Man, after being there, it will kill me if they offer me no merit or need-based aid, because I really fell in love with place yesterday during my visit.

I visited as well, and really enjoyed my visit. I got a better feeling there than NYU in fact.dakatz wrote:Went to visit Cornell yesterday and couldn't have had a better visit. Thanks for posting that. I was wondering about when we might hear.dakatz wrote:Went to visit Cornell yesterday and couldn't have had a better visit. Good luck to those still waiting to hear back. Just keep in mind that this isn't the case for everyone. I submitted my financial aid documents in early February, so next week is the time frame given my date of submission. If you submitted your fin. aid documents in mid or late February, the wait could be longer.CyLaw wrote:Thanks for posting that. Re: Cornell waiting room
Of course. But, I did submit at the beginning of February and have already been granted my dependency waiver, so hopefully notification of aid will come shortly. Right now, I'm just working on trying to get out there for the April ASD.dakatz wrote:Just keep in mind that this isn't the case for everyone. Re: Cornell waiting room
I just went to "decision." I went complete sometime in January (submitted November 1, but I guess they didn't even look at it until they were done with EA).
Can any Cornell admittees share how they got their decision? Did anyone from Cornell call or e-mail prior to you getting something via snail mail? Or do they only send snail mail regardless of the decision? Gracias.

Re: Cornell waiting room
The day after my status went to "decision", I just called up the admissions office. They give you your decision over the phone. I also got a snail mail packet with my acceptance letter, as well as an email telling me the same thing.TipTravHoot wrote:I just went to "decision." If you're accepted, don't you also get an e-mail notice?

Re: Cornell waiting room
I thought the email notice was simultaneous with your status change, assuming your accepted.

Re: Cornell waiting room
Does everyone who receives a decision have links to admitted student-related sites included? I thought they did acceptances via e-mail, though I admit to not having read most of this thread.

I'm intrigued that people are getting status changes on a Sunday.

Sorry, I should clarify that I decided to save myself some grief and only check status checkers twice a week. My decision was supposedly rendered on Thursday.jrod wrote:I'm intrigued that people are getting status changes on a Sunday.

Winter in Ithaca must really put a damper on things.
