Is it me or does this cycle seem pretty unfavorable to people in general? I see a lot more people with good numbers being rejected than people with poor numbers getting in against the odds

It's been pretty unfavorable TOWARDS ME!!!!! lol. Just kidding. It's really just the T14 being hard to break into for me. T15-T25 has been very receptive lol.

URM cycles are so weird sometimes. I see URMs with very pedestrian numbers that absolutely crush it and then there are ones that don't seem like they got much of a boost.

yeah, I agree. Like I said, T15-25 are showing me love and it's nice but T14s are more like "Meh" or "No" or "Yeah, okay, if you're willing to foot this bill yourself [I'm not]"

I want to agree with what y'all are saying but I have some great acceptances but only one school that I haven't already decided against has given me final FinAid and it is not a good amount. 288k upon repayment is a cruel consideration IMO.

MAYBE IF I COULD GET SOME $$$ I'd be less PISSED/Anxious/perpetually nauseated.

Yeah, when I'm saying these things, I'm including the money consideration in whether or not my cycle is going well lol

Does anyone know if admissions committees are likely to be working this upcoming Monday (given that it's President's Day)? I don't want to spend another 3 days just waiting before I can start getting my hopes up again.

I don't really consider President's Day a huge holiday, but who knows. I'd just assume they don't, then you can be pleasantly surprised if they do lol

School A: This applicant's numbers are good enough to get into School B this year. We'd usually let them in with $$$, but there's no way they'll matriculate. Man, too bad. YP.
