Sorry to those who really had their hearts set on HLS. The good news is, if you thought you had a shot at Harvard, you're going to have some great options in the next couple of months, some of them might involve good deal of $$$. Good luck to the rest of you still waiting!
Also, JSJK is much better. JSW is too formal.

But JSJK is just straight up inaccurate. Not everyone who get a waitlist will have had a JS1 and that is what JSJK says to me, it says you got an interview but then they said, "Yeah, no." JSW covers all our bases.SteelPenguin wrote: Also, JSJK is much better. JSW is too formal.

That's the problem I have with JSJK too, but JSW is just too meh.The-Specs wrote:But JSJK is just straight up inaccurate. Whichever we collectively choose, I hope the two camps can come to an amicable understanding and this thread continues stronger than ever

Well if that's our reasoning, let's start calling JS2's JSHOLLASteelPenguin wrote:Sorry to those who really had their hearts set on HLS. I bet they're jumping in anticipation at HLS to know whether TLS chooses JSJK or JSW. They want to know for their email subject lines for the eventual WL notifications.

I would enthusiastically support this if someone calls JS to let her know that all acceptance calls should henceforth begin with "HOLLA!!"lastsamurai wrote:Well if that's our reasoning, let's start calling JS2's JSHOLLASteelPenguin wrote:Sorry to those who really had their hearts set on HLS. So are JS1 and JS2 but they get the job done.drawstring wrote:JSW is pithy and to the point, but it's just so blah.
Maybe we need to rename these, they're so boring lol

Right. You answer the unknown 617 number and the first thing you hear is "HOLLA" and immediately know. Much more efficient than the current, more formal system.*The-Specs wrote:THIS!esrom55 wrote:I would enthusiastically support this if someone calls JS to let her know that all acceptance calls should henceforth begin with "HOLLA!!"lastsamurai wrote:Well if that's our reasoning, let's start calling JS2's JSHOLLASteelPenguin wrote:Sorry to those who really had their hearts set on HLS. *I can only assume the current JS2's are more formal, since I have not received one

I Hope our JSW brethren can join us in an official and unified Harvard Waitlist abbreviation. We cannot allow our differences to split this thread in half. While you were defeated, you fought bravely.

Why'd the poll close at 2:29 anyway? That seems so arbitrary
. We should have let it run until midnight. JSW was gaining ground

I refuse to give up without a run-off but IF JSW were to lose I would graciously accept defeat.edwardt1988 wrote:I Hope our JSW brethren can join us in an official and unified Harvard Waitlist abbreviation. Also, serious lack of the use of JSNo on this thread today.

Oh WTR wanted JSJK all along and rigged it completely, much like the New Yorker rigs its caption contests.lawschool22 wrote:Why'd the poll close at 2:29 anyway? That seems so arbitrary. We should have let it run until midnight. JSW was gaining ground
I used to do funny business like that all the time with my polls in the October LSAT thread.

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Completely forgot I applied to H (most likely due to how slim of a shot I had/have at admission). As someoneyet to be ddinged, here is me hoping to receive a #JSW... JSJK sounds like something you'd hear from the movie 'mean girls' imo, and thus, is probably not what it ought to be called
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
