I'm really hoping (although it's a long shot) to be considered for some kind of merit aid, and I can't figure out whether I need to have submitted it before being invited for a dean's scholarship. Anyone know? Invitations were sent out about this time last year, so...?
Submitted Needaccess a week ago and haven't heard a thing about them receiving it, let alone being invited to apply for $$$ (I am probably in the 60-70th percentile numbers-wise). Waiting to hear back from a few more schools (probable acceptances in the T14) before I send my "so let's talk about that cash-money" negotiating letter.

What is the latest NYU can accept you if you get WL? At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be WL'd.

I think the answer for every school is that they can offer you admission until the first day of classes.kruiz88 wrote:What is the latest NYU can accept you if you get WL? At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be WL'd.

Imagine that scenario...just signed the lease on an apartment, bought books, took loans etc. literally everything somewhere like Texas and then that offer comes through. What do you do... Re: NYU 2011
Depends on the school. I think you should be ready to pick up and move at the drop of a hat if you chose to remain on the WL that long. If you make through the rounds of WL/Rejections and get to August, there is a very good chance you are getting in. I think there are 2 WLs I will be willing to stay on should I land on there.BeachedBrit wrote:Imagine that scenario...just signed the lease on an apartment, bought books, took loans etc. literally everything somewhere like Texas and then that offer comes through. WL is open through the add period of classes, which is typically about the first week or so.
Best wishes!

Re: NYU 2011
Well, you can try logging into the admitted students site. If you're admitted, the account should be active within a few days of the DLS, if prior patterns hold. But yeah, it could be good or bad, but you gotta stay positive.shatra wrote:Is it good? Don't I have to wait for the letter to get here to know if it's good?ahduth wrote:Isn't that good?
