Hey guys, I posted once or twice here a little while ago. I found out a few days ago that I got into Cornell after being deferred EA, so decisions both up and down are coming out now on EA candidates. I really really hope you guys get good news. You sure deserve it after waiting so long. Best of luck!

My numbers are pretty much right at their medians

My status checker changed 3 days after I received a congratulatory e-mail out of the blue from them. When it changed, it had a link to the admitted students website.

Thanks for the congrats! Cornell is definitely my number 1, so hopefully I'll see some of you there next year.

Definitely Congrats - when did you send your ap in (I know EA deferred, but was it right at the beginning of Sept, or say Nov, or?

I applied at the EA deadline. So around November 1st or 2nd. I think at this point the date you sent the application in doesn't have much bearing on when you'll hear. The EA applicants have probably been grouped and re-grouped into various different piles.

This is great - i love how activity has started again on this thread. I was just thinking, "hmm, i wonder whatsup with my Cornell EA deferral?" Still the old decision rendered as of 12/14/2009. Nothing updated on my status checker.

Is there anything we can do regarding Cornell other than wait?

Any other admits? How strange to just let in one person (or one on this site). Sorry ladiesandgerms, but I sort of suspect with 7 posts you might be a flame. Don't take it personally I trust no one.

Anyone think we will have some movement once the deposit deadline passes? It's April 15th correct? Has everyone in this thread reconciled themselves to paying $70,000 a year COA or are people still hoping for some kind of money?
