WL 165/2.91

Looks like LSU it is, but I'll wait awhile.

Anyone know if they're given $$$ to people accepted off WL?

I received a random email from Tulane today saying they were still accepting applications and were offering me a fee waiver. I never really thought about going there until a couple weeks ago when I was down in New Orleans for Mardi Gras-- great time!!

3.5/160, is it even worth the effort and $12 to apply at this point??

WL'ed today. A bit surprising, but as I've got a good reserve of offers and $$$ from other schools behind me I'll be withdrawing.

Good luck to those on the WL that are sticking it out.

Good luck to all of those on the WL.

Especially those of you with a 165, wow, I'm sure you have a few great acceptances.

As opposed to most of the schools I applied to, Tulane has a really scattered graph on LSN. It's worth a look. I know that's not really an explanation, but hopefully it shows that other people kind of in your ballpark (160/3.8) have been rejected also. I'm going to be semi-surprised if I get in.

Beyond that, it looks like you have some great acceptances on LSN. Best of luck to you!

Congrats! I have only updated once to 3/5 so I am hoping for the best since I made it past the round of waitlists yesterday. Then again, it has been a bad week

I got the email message below, but haven't heard squat from Tulane until now, including on the status checker. I guess I'm in?

Dear Mr. _______:

Tulane Law School will be hosting a Cocktail Reception on the evening of March 24th. This event is organized by our Alumni Affairs office and will be attended by DC area Tulane graduates. I'm thrilled to be able to extend an invitation to our DC area admitted students as well as I think this will be a great opportunity to learn more about Tulane, life in New Orleans, and opportunities after law school.

If you are interested in attending this event, please RSVP to me directly and I will forward on the necessary information. I hope you are able to attend.

Sincerely,
Erin Crixell

It would seem like it to me. Definitely worth a call to admissions though. Congrats!

That proves that it's not all about numbers, at least at Tulane and a few other schools. It also proves that Tulane could be a much higher ranked school if it did what other schools are doing, which is GPA and LSAT whoring instead of evaluating candidates holistically. One would think Tulane would play the game, but the school is content to admit "the 'people' they actually like" instead of "the 'numbers' they like".
