I just got an email from a Harvard 1L offering to take questions - I responded - and delivery to her HLS email address failed permanently.

Have we talked about the email from Dean Minow? It was so brief and nondescript I almost didn't catch it.

Re: In at Harvard!
i got matched w/ a 2L HLS student...im sort of impressed by how personal HLS has been trying to be during this whole process. this match isnt random either -- in fact, it's really specific! he went to the same university i went to, grew up in the same state i grew up in, and is an editor on a journal in an area of law i expressed interest in lmfao. i mean wow, kudos to HLS, i actually WILL ask this guy some questions haha.nixxers wrote:I just got an email from a Harvard 1L offering to take questions - I responded - and delivery to her HLS email address failed permanently.

yeah, I fully agree. I was sort of expecting them to be like "wuteva we're harvard, we don't need to be nice to these people" but I've really appreciated all the little personal touches. My match wasn't nearly as specific as your (wtf JR!DoubleChecks wrote:...im sort of impressed by how personal HLS has been trying to be during this whole process. this match isnt random either -- in fact, it's really specific! he went to the same university i went to, grew up in the same state i grew up in, and is an editor on a journal in an area of law i expressed interest in lmfao. i mean wow, kudos to HLS, i actually WILL ask this guy some questions haha.

i always find this awkward to type when I log-in... too many periods. Should just be @harvard.law.edu or something simpler.managamy wrote:UserID@ jd13.law.harvard.edu.tomhobbes wrote:What are our HLS login IDs again?

Yes, the subdivision by graduation year is unnecessary.SolarWind wrote:i always find this awkward to type when I log-in... too many periods. Should just be @harvard.law.edu or something simpler.managamy wrote:UserID@ jd13.law.harvard.edu.tomhobbes wrote:What are our HLS login IDs again?

The email I received from my HLS pen pal is just @law.harvard.edu
Does the jd13 disappear after we enroll?

Re: In at Harvard!
Quick question - did JR email you about your interests/questions before setting you up with a current 1L/2L?
Just checking if this is a form email or if I need to spend a lot of time thinking about a good response!

TITCR.
Also, my JR email came after the email from the student, so the order clearly varies.

Do we get to keep the email even if we don't attend?

Re: In at Harvard!
i've received neither a pen pal nor a note from Dean Minow.
Given that I'm a recent admit, this seems reasonable. But I still feel a little unwanted.

Anyone in here abroad? If so what time did JR call you for the JR2? I'm guessing he probably makes calls from like 8am-8pm which would be 10pm-10am my time. Did anyone get a call on a day other than Monday?

Anyone else get a follow-up email from JR asking about your other options and discussing financial aid comparisons?
