So even though my status checker hadn't changed, I got something in the mail from them on Saturday. It was bigger and heavier than your normal envelope. So I immediatley tore it open and what did I find? Another copy of their viewbook.

Thanks! I wonder how long it'll take for them to come to a decision now that I'm complete. I hate that they don't let you know over status checker. Exciting though.

I wouldn't assume that. This is at least the 2nd or 3rd batch of acceptances. There are probably more to come.

I understand that Veritas, but it is likely to be considered and I have a compelling story to tell (eight surgeries and six straight semesters of 4.0s after my surgeries).

No I don't think you are not getting in, and I appreciate your hardship, but it's just coming off as very self-entitled.

Reading your post to that poster, it came off like: "How could they accept you and not accept me I'm such a better applicant" - I know you didn't mean to come off that way, but that's how it reads. You didn't even tell them congratulations on their acceptance.

You have a shot, but I do not think you will hear this early in the game. While being blind is pertinent to your PS, it really has nothing to do with admissions anymore than another overcoming adversity story.

ps. I just googled "how do blind people use the internet." Pretty cool.

Honestly, I think you should be okay. It's still very early in the game, so I was somewhat surprised to hear back so soon. As for being blind and showing so much academic success after your surgeries, I would think/hope it would improve your chances.

Also, no offense taken for not congratulating me. I would probably be thinking the same thing as you. Best of luck.

For those accepted, was there any period of time where it said Under Review on your status checker? or did you just go from complete to DR ?
