Re: Minnesota 2010!
I'm in. I worked the graveyard shift last night and was sleeping this morning. The Dean called and my three year old answered. So he called back again and my wife answered. She woke me up saying its the Dean of admissions at university of Maine and I thought WTF I didn't apply to Maine.
I really couldn't understand what was going on but he did say I was in and I can contact the Dean of Financial Aid to work out the GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program money. Something is coming in the mail.
I had to recheck caller ID to make sure I got the right school. That was my first acceptance of this cycle. I slept well the rest of the day.

Re: Minnesota 2010!
For the most part, everybody who has been accepted seems to have applied before me (received 12/03, complete for a second time 12/18). So I wouldn't be anticipating anything at all, but then this:
)
Still, I'm assuming MSPeast was ridiculously quick because those numbers are pretty easy to accept. Going to try not to think about it. Congrats to everybody who has been accepted! If you don't know the area-- Minneapolis is awesome.
has me a little on edge. It sure would be nice to have a MN acceptance in hand when I go home for X-mas (if weather doesn't delay my travels a second time this weekMSPeast wrote:In today via phone call (actually voice mail - I was not gonna take that call at work).
171, 3.6, non-resident, although I was born in that state and still spend ten hours a day in that state...
Anyway, I sent my stuff on 12/6, received 12/7, complete 12/8, went UR 12/11, admitted today, 12/22. Status checker still says "in review" for some reason.

Re: Minnesota 2010!
I'm withdrawing today, which will free up a spot for high GPA splitter and some scholly money. I've lived in MN my whole life and currently work and live in Minneapolis. For those of you who don't know, the city is fabulous. Great culture, restaurants, friendly people, etc. Also, I worked at some government offices and know a couple of attorneys at large firms in the city. U of M is extremely well respected here and is usually the first place the large and mid size firms go to recruit.
For those of you attending next year, good luck. I'm confident that you will love Minneapolis as much as I do. I will miss it, but needed to to try out a new city.
