I logged into the Caneid site this morning, and was greeted with a congratulations letter. Also a FL resident I don’t know if that helps.

I got in today via an email alert. I applied on January 2nd, got a confirmation email on the fourth. It was a pretty quick decision and I'm very excited for my first admission! However, I did attend UM undergrad and both my parents are alumni, so I wonder if that accelerated the admission process. I'm hoping for some money as the tuition is ungodly high, I was only able to attend undergrad with scholarships.
PS - numbers were a 3.65 and 160.

Just got the e-mail to check MY UM today. I'm in with a 164/3.87. Does the scholarship come with the letter the acceptance letter in the mail? I really like the area but I wouldn't go unless they can help out with tuition.

fwiw... I got UM scholly email about 2-3 weeks after acceptance. They notified me via email that I was getting a scholly, but I didn't know how much till the letter came 5 days later.

Altho... the money they offered is contingent on keeping a 3.2 I believe (anyone know what percent of the class makes a 3.2?). all my other scholly offers are guaranteed or top 2/3.

I think either in this thread or in another thread, someone had posted that at 3.2 GPA at UMiami was top 50%

Yup. And i'm hoping scholly $ won't hurt my chances of getting grant $ too much.

If half the class gets 3.2, I can live with that. I'll try to ask and confirm on the next web chat.

Got in, no word on scholarships. I'll probably go to another school, got into LSU for example, because the sticker on Miami is bit too pricey for a school of its rank. Although...living in Miami is very tempting.
