Re: NYU 2010
I just got my acceptance letter as well! I hadn't been checking this thread, so I had no idea that I should be looking for anything... if I'd known I would have gotten my mail a lot earlier!

It seems like the majority of these acceptances are RD. Did NYU forget about their ED people?

Look at any of your LSDAS reports sent to the schools (via the LSAC portal). Its on the top-left corner, and starts with 999 if you don't have an SSN.Saya wrote:Sigh. For the life of me, I can't find this LSDAS-assigned Identification Number.ankit wrote:Are any of those who've been accepted able to log into the NYU admitted students website?

Most admitted last year could log in within 5 days of receiving the acceptance. So if the same process applies this time, it may be another way of knowing whether one has been accepted, if the acceptance package hasn't already reached you.

Re: NYU 2010
They may take a little longer with ED people since they are committed to them once they accept. With RD, they know that many of their acceptances won't actually matriculate, so it's easier to take chances.facetious wrote:+1. i am feeling a lack of love from nyu. in fact, i feel betrayedcicely101 wrote:It seems like the majority of these acceptances are RD. Any ideas on how long it takes mail to get from NYC to Canada? The USPS site is not very helpful.ylc wrote:Nope.crackberry wrote:Admits haven't actually been able to log on to that site yet though have they?ankit wrote: Look at any of your LSDAS reports sent to the schools (via the LSAC portal). Do you ever get vacations from the USS Condescension, or is telling everyone you know better than them a full time job?managamy wrote:Wait, I thought that you were the captain of USS Bitter Pessimism? Shouldn't you be hearing on the Twelfth of Never?puppins wrote:maybe Monday.

After you fired on the Red Cross boat that I dispatched to your wallowing tub, I had no choice but to retaliate once you ventured into waters closer to mine.puppins wrote:Do you ever get vacations from the USS Condescension, or is telling everyone you know better than them a full time job?managamy wrote:Wait, I thought that you were the captain of USS Bitter Pessimism? EDIT: Nobody who got accepted to two t14 schools should be the captain of the USS Bitter Pessimism. You should abandon ship and let someone truly unfortunate take the wheel.

I'm sure there is a point to that bloated metaphor but... I dunno, maybe if I were Harvard caliber I would undertand it. Or maybe I would understand why you spend your time in threads for schools several steps down from where you've already gotten in, talking about how difficult it was for you to get so many acceptances so quickly, while everyone else frets about whether they will be able to go to law school next year.managamy wrote: After you fired on the Red Cross boat that I dispatched to your wallowing tub, I had no choice but to retaliate once you ventured into waters closer to mine.

You're not one of those people, judging from the good cycle that you've reported on your LSN profile, so it's hard for me to understand why you are the most bitter. Although I appreciate your eloquence, can't you be at all happy over your Duke and Georgetown acceptances?puppins wrote:I'm sure there is a point to that bloated metaphor but... Just found my acceptance letter in the mail today, dated December 1st. First acceptance. I'm pumped.

Re: NYU 2010
See, there you go again. "Can't you little people be happy with the acceptances you've got? Surely, for someone like you, that represents a good cycle." Well. It may be a foreign concept for you, but some people applied to safeties. Some people applied to schools they can't afford to go to, based on both costs and low job prospects from said schools, without considerable financial aid. So, not that it's any of your business, but as of right now I have no idea if I'll be going to law school next year. And I'm not bitter; you're just annoying.managamy wrote:

Re: NYU 2010
All right. I was really delighted to get the call from UCLA even though it was a safety. But let's call a truce and allow this thread to get back to positive vibes. I'm sorry that I pushed your buttons in an insensitive attempt at humor, and I promise to not do so again in the future. Peace?puppins wrote:See, there you go again.
