Well, I don't think I will end up at Duke, but because I had a lot of downtime after my acceptance (accepted 9/18) I have researched Duke and Durham. For instance, someone was talking about their dual degree programs and how you don't have to take the GRE. As someone who was planning on taking the GRE in January and applying to JD / PhD programs, that's pretty appealing. Also, due to the type of work I want to do, I've talked to professors at my school that have attended Duke and decided that with equal money, I'd rather attend Duke than Virginia and perhaps Penn. So who knows. If I get rejected from HYSCCNB, I'm there! ;)

Any PT movement today? Just looked over Duke's viewbook again and was very impressed with the 96% employment at graduation and 99.7% after 9 months. Looks like a great option for anybody and an early acceptance will calm the nerves.

That happened to me. I was under review on 10/5, then the date changed to 10/12. Since then, nothing :( RD

They change each week (just from keeping up with everything in this thread). Good luck, everyone!

If that's the case, why hasn't mine changed since the 12th?

ah, makes sense. I'm PT so I should know in a couple days anyway, just thought it might come a little early.

Well, I guess a lot of the programs are just MA deals. But Cultural Anthropology.

Hey guys, still waiting for my email, but I noticed on my status checker that there's now an "enrollment deposit" fee listed of $500 under fees. Doesn't that make it likely I got accepted? Why else would that be there?

When you are accepted, is it via e-mail first, or does your status change on your checker?

Really? I don't mean to be a drag, but other schools' status checkers have that kind of thing, and it doesn't mean anything.

I hope it's true, though, because mine has that too. And I haven't been accepted anywhere yet, even though other people with my numbers are already into UT, UVA, and Gtown. I'm not freaking out quite yet, but I really don't understand why...

Does yours have an actual amount listed? A lot of mine seem to have seat deposit listed in that area, but Duke (where I've been accepted) is the only one with a real amount/due date.

Yeah, mine has the fee amount and the date listed. If I don't get in now it will be a serious gut-punch!

I didn't get PT, I was right below what seems to be cut-off. I'm not too surprised about Duke, but there are def people in at UVA, Gtown, and UT with numbers below mine.
