You're probably right. Bummer. I got 35K/yr from WashU, so GWU is probably off the table now.goldenbear2020 wrote:TBH probably the former, since everyone on TLS has reported receiving any scholarship info with the acceptance letter. Does this mean I'm not getting anything from them at all, or has anyone gotten the admit e-mail and then received scholarship info later on?

Anyone know if it's possible to negotiate getting rid of that steep seat deposit?

Thank you (and floatie)! I'll see if they'll match an Emory offer, but I doubt they'd go from 0-60+, literally. I'll be sure to post about it if it happens thoughgoldenbear2020 wrote:TBH probably the former, since everyone on TLS has reported receiving any scholarship info with the acceptance letter. Did you get any scholarship money?WatchClosely wrote:I was WL'd last year with a 179 LSAT and, like you, a sub 25th GPA (though yours is much higher). If you are really interested in attending, convey that in a LOCI and you should be able to get in.qtpie95 wrote:I'm a splitter , GPA 3.28 a smidge under their 25th. strong softs too so I think they're just not friendly with splitters this year particularly since their was no addendummrtux45 wrote:Maybe it's YP?RParadela wrote:What's your GPA? Under the 'Preview Events' tab on the GW portal. Just looked and it said registration was closed, but I bet if you call you could see if you could get in.floatie wrote:Where is the information for this? Did anyone complete GW's Financial Aid Request for yet?
I was wondering what the first box meant..."I am a non transfer JD candidate...as a condition for receiving any need-based grant, I acknowledge that I am required to accept, borrow, and retain the full $20,500 Federal Direct Stafford Loan offered to me."
Maybe I'm thinking too much into this, but are we supposed to check that off? haha
I've already completed FAFSA and wanted to apply for any need-based grants at GW.

Yes, basically they're saying that if you're claiming need that you have to take out at least $20,500 in loans per year (up to the full COA).Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:Did anyone complete GW's Financial Aid Request for yet?

After submitting your form, did GW send a receipt confirmation?/ Have they reached out? Really hoping for a scholly bump!PDX4343 wrote:I ended up putting the money offers under the 'other offers' section (or whatever it was called) and then put some T-14 acceptances that I'm still waiting to hear back about money from in the 'additional information' section.jlc058 wrote:Yeah I am worried about waiting to submit and having less funds to give out as the process goes on. Did you only write money offers you have, or include acceptances from better schools too?PDX4343 wrote:Yeah sorry forgot to say it's on the admitted students portal, not the actual website. I ended up just submitting now despite still waiting on some of my scholarship offers to come in. I feel like there might be a benefit to getting it turned in early. I ended up just telling them on the 'additional information' section that I would be very likely to attend with a bump in my initial offer.jlc058 wrote:Do you have a link to this? Can't find it anywhere!PDX4343 wrote:The scholarship negotiation form is up on their website as of this morning. Just submitted mine.
Edit: nevermind found it- I was looking on their actual website not the student portal. Now I'm just torn over submitting with the two schools I have offers from or waiting for the others to come in

Anyone know if there is an admitted students Facebook page yet? I'd like to start potentially looking for a roommate in DC.

After they update your status checker to "decision made", does it usually take all three days for the email to come in?
