I have been under review for a month with no movement. Should I consider sending in a Why UVA?

I would though I submitted a Why UVA essay and have still been pending for a month even though my interview was done about 2.5 weeks ago.

Applied Sept 16.
Complete Sept 19.
Interview Request Sept 26.
Interview Sept 28.
Admitted Sept 28 at end of interview.
LSAT=Median, 50>GPA>75
Strong softs. Great interview.

I think they are taking longer now because of the volume of applications. I remember when I applied I kept checking the forums and the interview requests were somewhat in order of who applied when. They will email you with the request.

Wait no I'm seriously concerned by this -- is standard operating procedure really to just bug adcomms with additional post-submission essays until they finally talk to you? This seems like the epitome of Spivey's Generation Neurotic hypothesis:

(4) Most importantly, be honest with yourself and ask: "am I contacting the hiring authority or law school admissions office because it helps to make my case -- even after I have submitted everything I can submit -- or am I doing it to make ME feel better?" No matter how anxious you are to hear something this is the most important thing you can do. I have had to talk Associate Deans applying for Deanships at law school out of calling the hiring committee by using this exact advice. The majority of the time, when the process is very important to us, we reach out to the decision makers to make ourselves simply feel better.

I'm willing to bet, since you failed to include a "Why UVA" essay in your original application, it's not your dream school, so sending in a generic "UVA is cool" essay won't be the difference between a yes and no (which, I should add, hasn't even been determined yet, since you haven't even heard anything back yet).
