That may be because they only started doing interviews 3 years ago though

It's a trip that most schools didn't interview just a few years ago.

I'm in the exact same boat. Submitted 10/25, LSAT>75th, GPA just under 75th.

Anyhow, it appears that the two waves of interview invites for this cycle have gone out on 11/1 and 11/28. Would it be reasonable to assume that waves will become more frequent as the process goes on? Or will there always be roughly a month between each wave of interview invites? I tried looking at previous years' UChicago threads to get a sense of that, but couldn't find much as a lot of posts in those threads are now deleted. Can any veteran TLS'ers weigh in on what the spacing of interview invite waves was like when they applied? Thanks much in advance!

ED decision date getting closer right? I remember reading in the ED contract that ED applicants "will receive decisions on their applications by the end of December" (this stronger language than on the website). Any one think it is a possibility that ED applicants will get word after December?

Thanks!

I remember Dean Perry saying in an info session that all admitted applicants are interviewed at some point.

I do believe there will be invites going out this week and next week, based on last year's spreadsheets; it should be this week for ED. But of course we never know!

I'm pretty sure ED applicants will hear back before the end of December. A lot of ED applicants from last cycle told me they heard back before Christmas.

Anyone know when Chicago starts making RD decisions, historically? I haven't been as neurotic about Chicago as I am about some of my other schools so I haven't searched past threads as much, but my interviewer the other day said I'd hear from them "soon."

Finished my interview yesterday. It wasn't scary or stern at all. The interviewer was just really calm the whole time which actually made me feel a lot calmer as well.

I did get the Trump question though, but moreso about what the election meant to me. All the other questions were typical interview questions.

Gluck everyone!

For me, it was two weeks and change. For some it's been quicker, for others, slower.

So to clarify, that would mean this week's batch of interview invites would be for ED applicants only, whereas RD interview invites would be going out next week?

has there been an invite batch this week? I'd think they'd tweet about it or we'd see people posting about it...based off of past years

That's what it looks like based on last year (ED invites 12/8/15, huge batch of RD invites 12/15/15). But the spreadsheets have a small sample size.

I'm an ED applicant but haven't heard anything yet, so I'm praying nothing's been sent out.

Had my interview today and enjoyed it so much more than the Harvard one...don't think I aced every question but overall the conversation flowed super naturally and the interviewer was very aware of my application/background and reacted much more to what I said than was the case with Harvard. In case that helps anyone be less stressed.

Just got an invitation to interview. ED Application, had my application in back in September. Looks like there might be a good number of slots open for next week's interviews
