Interesting. I wonder why they said we would get an update today if wait list admits still have all day to deposit.

Is today their second deposit deadline? Also, when do y'all think they will send out the update email?

Deposit deadline was last Monday, and the deadline to receive a partial refund was June 8.

I'm guessing they might be basing a lot of the update on the regular admit deadline last Monday. Will you be heading to GULC this fall daisrt?

I agree that it is weird, but around 4 AM EST the day second deposits were due I received an email from admissions letting me know that they hadn't received my deposit, and asking if I wanted my seat in the class reserved or not. It seems like they were trying to get an answer from everyone before the afternoon, presumably so they could start admitting WL people ASAP?

"I wanted to send you another quick e-mail update on the waitlist situation at Georgetown. Your placement on the Preferred Waiting List reflected our confidence in the strength of your application. At this time, however, we have received deposits from more applicants than we have seats available in the first year class. Consequently, we are unable to extend an offer of admission to you this year.

We appreciate your interest in our program and wish you success in your future endeavors."

Our class is still currently oversubscribed, but these things do sometimes have a way of changing quickly. We're monitoring the class on a daily basis and we're still hopeful that we will be able to contact you with good news in the near future.

As you know, you are in a select group that we plan to turn to first if space becomes available, so we hope you're able to hang on a little bit longer. But, while we hope that you can continue to stay with us on the waitlist, we understand if you need to make other plans. For our part, we promise to keep you up to date on what's going on. As I mentioned before, our next upcoming deadline is July 25th when the tuition payment is due for the current entering class. We will give you another update by July 29th, if you haven't heard from us before then.

If spaces do become available, the Committee will move quickly and, if admitted, the Committee will require you to withdraw your name from any other enrollment list to secure a seat at Georgetown. They have asked me to ask you to let us know if you wish to remain in consideration and where Georgetown fits in with your plans at this point. Please respond to this email as soon as possible at admis@law.georgetown.edu.

I received a feeler call last Wednesday and was admitted last Thursday via email giving some details of the offer. PWL. Just received the snail mail official acceptance today. My deposit deadline to accept the WL spot is the 17th. I imagine that they will continue to monitor day by day as the email listed above mentions, because they give each person extended an offer a little bit of time to ponder.

FYI, I will be depositing tomorrow. Excited to be a Hoya! Good luck to everyone, hope everything works out for the best for you all.
